Rishi Rich to compose music, Shraddha Kapoor to sing for Half Girlfriend

After several speculations and changes in the cast, we had recently reported that the romantic drama Half Girlfriend is all set to go on floor in May with Arjun Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor as the leading cast. And now, the latest update is that the music rights of the film have been bought by Zee Music.

Though the details are strictly being kept under wraps, we hear that the work on the music for this film has already kick started. In fact, it is being said that the once renowned musician Rishi Rich has been roped in for Half Girlfriend and that he has even given couple of tracks for the film. Not ending at that, it has been learnt that Shraddha Kapoor too will be lending her voice to few songs in the film.

Half Girlfriend is an adaptation of Indian writer Chetan Bhagat's novel by the same name and deals with a love story. The linguistic differences coupled with the distinction between rural and urban values, the film traces the journey of Madhav and Riya spanning through years, cities and continents.

Directed by Mohit Suri and produced by Balaji Motion Pictures, Half Girlfriend is slated to release on April 28, 2017.
