22 Mar 2016

Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar became a popular on screen pair after their last film Dum Laga Ke Haisha gained critical and mass acclaim. Soon, director - producer Aanand L. Rai announced another film with the pair titled Manmarziyan set amidst a Punjabi backdrop. While the film went on floor in the Northern state of India, we now hear that the makers have decided to take a break.

Director of the film, Sameer Sharma recently revealed about the so called 'break' adding that all films go through troubles in the initial stages and that they are making corrections but also taking some time off. The filmmaker refrained from divulging the reasons for the break only referring to it as an 'internal matter' that cannot be discussed publicly. However, there have been rumours that the producer of the film Aanand L. Rai wasn't very happy with the rushes of the film.

Manmarziyan went on floor in Shimla with actor Vicky Kaushal as the third wheel of the love triangle along with Ayushmann and Bhumi. After completing that schedule, the unit shot in Punjab for over a month and wrapped up the shoot of the same on Monday evening (March 21). While producer Aanand L. Rai has remained silent about the issue, it is still unknown as to when the shoot will resume.
