Nargis Fakhri collapses on the sets of Azhar due to high fever

The stressful and erratic shoot schedules can take a toll on an actor's health and we have heard of several such incidents in the past. And now recently, Nargis Fakhri who is shooting for Azhar faced a similar situation. She collapsed whilst shooting a song sequence for the film.

It is a known fact that Azhar is based on the life of former Indian cricket captain Mohammad Azharuddin and Nargis Fakhri plays the role of former actress Sangeeta Bijlani, the second wife of the cricketer, in this film. Whilst shooting for the song sequence, a remake of the 90s chartbuster ' Oye Oye ' (from the film Tridev starring Sangeeta Bijlani), the actress suddenly collapsed. After a doctor was called immediately on the sets, the actress was diagnosed with high fever. It is also being said that the producers suffered a loss of Rs. 35-40 lakhs owing to the setback.

Nargis Fakhri who was excited about shooting for the song revealed that she felt giddy and uneasy whilst performing. She also added that she was sent back home owing to the high body temperature and was asked to rest for the day. However, she will be resuming the shoot in a span of a day since the film's release is only a month away. Azhar stars Emraan Hashmi in the lead along with Prachi Desai, Lara Dutta in prominent roles and the film is slated to release on May 13.
