After Dishoom, Varun Dhawan to go solo

7 Jun 2016

Varun Dhawan won't do two-hero films any more. Yes, he is doing his brother Rohit's Dhishoom with John Abraham. But that would be his last non-solo starrer.

A source close to the development explains, "Varun feels he has the confidence to carry a film on his own shoulders.

Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhaniya Badlapur and ABCD2 were hits without another hero to support Varun." Apparently the not-too-happy experience of working in Dilwale with Shah Rukh Khan has made Varun Dhawan determined to go solo.

Says the source, "Varun was most excited about Dilwale. He got a chance to work with one of his childhood idols. But the experience was far from satisfying. Now Varun won't do multiple-hero films at all."
