Sonam Kapoor expresses her wish to direct films

With the year kickstarting on a successful note with Neerja, Sonam Kapoor may not be focusing on the acting front currently but the actress is definitely busy with her other work commitments including her app. And on her birthday, the actress made a surprising revelation about wanting to go behind the camera.

Sonam Kapoor's appearances at Cannes and several other events have always garnered attention owing to her image as a fashionista. But little did we know that the actress was also keen on becoming a filmmaker. During a recent interview and on the occasion of her birthday today, Sonam Kapoor revealed about her desire to turn director and also added that it wouldn't be too long before she dons the role. The actress mentioned that this wish may be fulfilled in a year or two. While we have got the hint, we haven't got any information on the kind of genres the actress would like to explore as a filmmaker.

On the other hand, Sonam Kapoor also maintained that her love for acting will remain as she would continue to act in films with a lot of good actors even if she starts directing. She further also stated that she wouldn't want to direct her father Anil Kapoor but would love to be a part of a film which he would direct.
