Kunal Khemu injured during a mob attack on set

Kunal Khemu was in Lucknow this past weekend when a mob of people attacked his set. The actor who was shooting for a music video at the historical Bada Imambara was attacked by a group of 100-150 people on Saturday.

Kunal Khemu was shooting with Miss India Grand International 2015 Vartika Singh when the incident took place. A mob of people marched on the set, vandalised everything, and pelted stones at the cast and crew. During this attack, Kunal Khemu got injured that left him with cuts and bruises.

The shooting of the music video was stopped and cops were called when things got out of control. Many crew members were injured by the time police arrived to take strict action. Pakistani singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan who has lent his voice for Kunal Khemu was on his way to the set when he was informed to return back to his hotel. According to the sources, the angry mob of people attacked the set as producer Nikhil Dwivedi's team had not obtained proper permission from the local authorities. But, Nikhil rubbished the claims stating that they had all kinds of permissions. A complaint has been filed against the people and the shooting has been resumed with tight security.

The music video titled 'Saavre' is produced by Nikhil Dwivedi, composed and written by Anupama Raag and the vocals have been done by Pakistani singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan.
