Arjun Kapoor along with Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt in Shiddat?

Earlier we had reported that Varun Dhawan may star in the upcoming Sajid Nadiadwala, Karan Johar production tentatively titled Shiddat . And now we hear that joining the star cast is the 2 States couple Alia Bhatt and Arjun Kapoor.

Based on the era of India-Pakistan partition, this Abhishek Varman directorial will apparently have two men wooing the same woman. While Varun Dhawan is already paired up with Alia in the forthcoming second instalment of the Dulhania franchise, Badrinath Ki Dulhania , Arjun and Alia will come together after 2 States. It is also being said that Varun Dhawan is slated to play the role of an anti-hero whilst Arjun will play the good guy. Apparently the anti-hero Varun knowns how to carve his way and always walks away with appreciation leaving behind a dejected Arjun.

Arjun Kapoor is said to have consulted his good friend Abhishek Varman (who made his directorial debut with 2 States ) to develop his character further and add layers to them. Also considering that Varun and Alia have just kickstarted Badrinath Ki Dulhania, the makers are still scheduling the dates. Considering that this will be a period drama, it has been learnt that this will be one of Sajid and Karan's most expensive collaboration.
