A.R. Rahman felicitated with Tamil Ratna Award

Legendary musician and Oscar winner A.R. Rahman was felicitated by America Tamil Sangam with its Tamil Ratna Award on Monday. A.R. Rahman performed at United Nations General Assembly chamber and was presented with the award after the concert.

A. R. Rahman was in the US to pay tribute to the legendary Carnatic vocalist M. S. Subbulakshmi. Presenting an award to Rahman on this occasion, America Tamil Sangam President Prakash Swamy said Rahman was an embodiment of peace, humility, and charity. He was overwhelmed by the honour and thanked the Sangam for it.

On the work front, A.R. Rahmanr recently composed music for Hrithik Roshan starrer Mohenjo Daro. Not just that, Rahman has also started a new project called Jammin in which he will be collaborating with Youtube musicians such as Sanam, Arjun Kanungo, and Shraddha Sharma among others.
