Jackie Shroff to feature in Konkani film Soul Curry

While acting in regional language cinema isn't new for this Bollywood veteran, Jackie Shroff is equally excited to make his Konkani debut. Jackie Shroff will star in the forthcoming release Soul Curry, produced by Michael Mascrenhas.

Known for Bollywood films like Hero, Dharma, Tridev, Khalnayak, Parinda, Devdas among others, Jackie Shroff has acted in films over nine languages including Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Oriya, Punjabi, Marathi and even Bengali. And now revealing details of his role in his Konkani debut, Jackie added that he plays the role of an arrogant saxophone player named Philip. Talking about the preparations, the actor mentioned that he did have help on the sets to get his accent right for the film. While the film that also stars Seema Biswas explores the dynamic nature of music industry due to the development of technology, Jackie plays a musician who loses work due to changing trends of the music world.

On the other hand, Jackie Shroff continues to work in regional cinema and is looking forward for his upcoming Punjabi film Sardar Saab and Tamil film Mayavan .
