Manisha Koirala expresses her desire to adopt a girl child

Almost a year ago, Manisha Koirala decided to return to acting and started signing a couple of films. One amongst them is Promita Sengupta's directorial debut Maulali in which she plays the role of a Bihari-Muslim. As she gears up for the film, the actress also wants to make a few changes in her personal life.

Manisha Koirala recently expressed her desire to adopt a girl child. For over four years, the actress battled with cancer and emerged successful. Now that she has returned to what she loves the most, acting, Manisha also wants to take yet another step of adopting a girl child. The actress mentioned that she is extremely close to her family but they reside in Nepal and that her flat in Mumbai is lonely as she resides alone. She thinks adopting a girl child will bring about positive changes in her life. The actress was married to Nepali businessman Samrat Dalal for two years but in 2012 they decided to part ways.

On the work front, Manisha is excited about Maulali. Giving out details on the same, Manisha is all praises for Promita's script and maintained that it has a perfect blend of drama, comedy and revenge. The film has Manisha playing the role of a mother who reunites with her long lost son after several years.
