PhD Thesis on Javed Akhtar from Delhi University

For generations now the entertainment industry has been considered a place for uneducated non-intellectual activities. No more, it seems. Delhi University has sanctioned a PhD thesis on the works of poet-lyricist-screenwriter-author Javed Akhtars works.The student chosen for this job is Farman Chaudhary. Says Javed, When I heard about this honour I was deeply moved. This is a not a doctorate from some vague unknown university. Its Delhi University, considered the hub and epicenter of education. Also, I was thrilled that the thesis would cover my entire body of work, and not just my film or non-film writing. It will also cover my work on television. So to me its a great honour.
