Tamil film industry's biggies join hunger strike

Several superstars of Tamil film industry joined hands for a one-day fast to protest against Sri Lankan Government for the atrocities being committed on Tamilians in Sri Lanka.

Bigwigs such as Rajinikanth, Suriya, Karthik, Prakash Raj and Sarath Kumar participated in the hunger strike that is currently being held at the premises of South Indian Film Artists' Association in Chennai. Even veteran actor Kamal Haasan is expected to join them soon.

Film activity in Tamil Nadu came to a stand still today as various actors, directors, producers, distributors, exhibitors and other film technicians participated in the protest. Prakash Raj tweeted, "Participating in the hunger strike organised by actors association against the atrocities in Sri Lanka. Support us!"
