Ace dance choreographer Saroj Khan passed away in July after a cardiac arrest. Now, filmmaker and National award-winning choreographer Remo D'Souza is keen on making a film on the life of the late Saroj Khan. He said that it was the late choreographer's wish.Talking to a news agency, Remo said that he had a long conversation with Saroj Khan once when she said that if someone were to make her biopic it would be him as he knows both dance and struggle.Remo D'Souza said that Saroj Khan has seen him grow from a struggler to a choreographer that he is today, He said that they grew closer in the last few years and is fortunate to have worked with her on her last project which is the song Tabah Ho Gaye from the film Kalank which featured Khan's favourite Madhuri Dixit. Remo had assisted Khan with the technical aspect of the dance. When Saroj Khan passed away, Remo took to his Instagram handle and shared a series of old pictures with the ace choreographer and penned a heartfelt note remebering her. Take a look:
Veteran choreographer Saroj Khan has been admitted to a hospital after she complained that she was having trouble breathing. As per the latest reports, the 71-year old choreographer was immediately taken to Guru Nanak Hospital in Bandra on June 21.Since there are also concerns about COVID-19, the mandatory test was done following the protocol. The results came out negative. As per the latest update, Saroj Khan is currently recovering and doing well. She will most probably be discharged from the hospital in a day or two. With a career span of over forty years, she has choreographed more than 2000 songs. She is a three-time National Award winner for the songs – ‘Dola Re Dola’ from Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Devdas,‘Ek Do Teen’ from Tezaab and ‘Ye Ishq Haaye’ from Jab We Met. She last choreographed for ‘Tabaah Hogaye’, featuring Madhuri Dixit in 2019 film, Kalank.
Dancer and choreographer Ganesh Acharya alleged that senior dancer Saroj Khan conspired against him and harboured corruption in the industry. Acharya's statement comes after an assistant female choreographer reportedly filed a case against him accusing of harassment. "This is the conspiracy against me to malign my image; there are people like Saroj Khan and her colleagues who are doing corruption in the industry. Their business has flopped as I have entered the association," said Acharya in a statement. "I will file a defamation case against Saroj Khan and her team who are defaming me and stooping so low to do that, they are doing this because their business has gone in vain they used to earn money sitting at home illegally and I am against it so will put all my efforts to fight against them," he added. Acharya is the General Secretary of Indian Film and Television choreographers Association (IFTCA). The 33-year-old assistant choreographer also accused Acharya of depriving her of work and demanding commission for getting her projects. She also accused him of forcing her to watch adult videos. On January 26th, at a gathering of industry choreographers, the accuser reportedly countered Acharya, asking him why he was trying to revoke a membership for which she paid Rs 1 lakh. However, Acharya wasn't pleased to find her at the gathering and asked her to leave. Reportedly, he also asked other dancers to pay Rs 500 extra out of their share of money, which she did not approve of.
Anil Kapoor , who is known as an evergreen actor, is also known for his fit looks. But the actor couldnt stop appreciating when he found out that his Race 3 colleague Bobby Deol too has found passion in fitness. On the occasion of Bobby Deols birthday, which was a couple of days ago, many of his well-wishers took to social media to extend their wishes to the actor. One amongst them was his Race 3 co-star Anil Kapoor. Known for his enthusiastic nature, Anil was all praises for Bobby Deols latest fit body which will be seen in his forthcoming film Race 3.The actor stated, Happy Birthday @thedeol !! Your hard work & dedication towards fitness has paid off immensely! Im excited for the world to see your new avatar in #Race3! Its a pleasure working with you For the uninitiated, this will be the first time where Bobby Deol is being associated with Race 3 whereas Anil Kapoor has been a part of it since the start. In fact, Race 3 has also shifted hands from Abbas-Mustan to Remo DSouza as the director. Besides that, Saif Ali Khan is been replaced by Salman Khan with Jacqueline Fernandez as the leading lady along with Daisy Shah Saqib Saleem in prominent roles. Race 3 is slated to release during Eid this year and hence will hit the screens in June. More Pages: Race 3 Box Office Collection Race 3 Movie Review
It has been a wild ride for Kangana Ranaut and her forthcoming film Manikarnika The Queen Of Jhansi.Embroiled in many controversies, the actress has taken the baton to direct the film after director Krish couldnt give dates for reshoots. Just recently, Kangana Ranaut and Ankita Lokhande shot a lavish and elaborate song sequence. Now, it has been learned that the actress is set to shoot another song which will be choreographed Saroj Khan. According to a leading daily, a romantic song featuring Kangana Ranaut and her onscreen husband Jisshu Sengupta will be shot in a day. Reportedly, Saroj Khan has been roped in for the song and the actors have been rehearsing for the song for a few weeks now. They will shoot it on September 18. It will be challenging as they want to wrap up the song in a day. A set has been created at Nitin Desais studio in Karjat. Kangana Ranaut has once again found herself in a controversy when her Manikarnika The Queen Of Jhansi co-star Sonu Sood walked out of the film. As the makers wanted to reshoot some scenes after their director Krish could not give the dates, Kangana reportedly took over the baton to finish the patchwork. But, it seems like the problems began after that. Sonu Sood admitted it was due to date issues he had to walk out and was never due to a film being helmed by a female director. On the other hand, Kangana admitted that he did not want to work under a female director. While all said and done, it seems like the budget of the film has insane now for the reshoots. Manikarnika The Queen Of Jhansi will release on January 25, 2019. Also Read: Manikarnika: Kangana Ranaut and Ankita Lokhande to shoot for a huge SONG SEQUENCE (read EXCLUSIVE deets)
