SHOCKING! Late singer Aadesh Shrivastavs son Avitesh Shrivastav booked by Mumbai Police

15 Dec 2018

In the most shocking news, late music composer Aadesh Shrivastav and Vijayta Pandits son Avitesh Shrivastav was booked by Juhu Police early morning on December 15. As per reports, the Indo American singer apparently had locked a person inside his studio till the time cops reached the place to rescue the man According to the reports, a man named Anand Tripathi, who happens to be a music composer as well, had rented out Aadesh Shrivastavs studio for a sum of Rs 4 lakhs as deposit and Rs 1 lakh rent per month in July 2016. But due to financial problems, the music composer could not pay the rent which led to a dispute between the two parties. A day ago, Avitesh Shrivastav had called up Anand Tripathi and asked him to come to the studio to pay the dues. But, the music composer is still going through a financial crunch and had no money. Avitesh got annoyed and abused him in the studio. He even locked him in the studio for the whole night. Anand Tripathi called him and even pleaded to leave him but Avitesh refused to do so. Eventually, the composer called up a friend who then arrived at the venue with police. After this, Tripathi filed an official complaint in Juhu, Mumbai.

Readers may know that the (late) music composer Aadesh Shrivastava passed away last year after battling cancer. In the honor of the composer, a crossing has been named after him in Mumbai. The inauguration ceremony of the road crossing took place in the presence of his widow Vijayta Pandit and other celebrities like Jackie Shroff, J.P Dutta and Poonam Dhillon on Sunday.

At the ceremony, Jackie Shroff attended the event wearing a jacket which was gifted by (late) Aadesh Shrivastava and talked about the first time they had met. He said that he had met the (late) music composer when he had gone to listen the music of his film Hero . He added that Aadesh Shrivastava was one of the percussionists and soon, they became friends. He said that Aadesh Shrivastava had worked in Angaaray and got his first big break with the film Kanyadaan. They both had started their career at the same time.

Poonam Dhillon said that it was really sad that he left them so early. He was very close to them and was a cheerful person. He was a talented and God-fearing person. She said that they all miss him very much.

Filmmaker J.P. Dutta was also one of the attendees and reminisced about the time when Aadesh Shrivastava worked as an assistant for Laxmikant-Pyarelal. They were friends and he composed music for J.P.Dutta's first film Ghulami. He said that he always knew his requirements and said that he was born talented.

The late Aadesh Shrivastava sang a number of hit songs such as ' Sona sona ', ' Shava Shava', 'Gustakhiyaan ' and ' Gur Nalon Ishq Mitha '. He had won accolades for his work in Kunwara, Tarkieb and Shikari .

Aadesh Shrivastav no more

Just last week we had reported that singer and music composer Aadesh Shrivastava had been hospitalized after suffering from a relapse of cancer. Sadly the musician, best known for his work in films like Chalte Chalte, Baghban, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham etc, who had been in a critical condition, passed away at Kokilaben Hospital on Saturday at around 12.30 AM.

Bollywood Hungama sends out heartfelt condolences to Aadesh's family.

The doctors have given up - says Aadesh Shrivastava's wife Vijayta Pandit

2 Sep 2015

"I've cried so much that my face has changed. I look like a different person," says Vijayta Pandit, yesteryears' hit heroine of Love Story, now composer Aadesh Shrivastava's devoted wife for many years, struggling to maintain her emotional equilibrium as her husband battles for his life.

"I can't describe what I am going through. I don't know how I am coping. Our two sons Anivesh and Avitesh are keeping me from crumbling under pressure. My family (brothers composers Jatin and Lalit Pandit) are also a great support," says Vijayta, recalling with horror her husband's sudden relapse a month ago.

"We had gone to America and had just returned when he suddenly started bleeding from his nose. It wouldn't stop. We rushed him to the Kokilaben hospital. That's been his home for the last one month. I am running from the hospital to our residence all day long trying to remain sane even as the doctors have given up on him," Vijayta breaks down and weeps inconsolably.

Their two sons are suffering the most because of illness.

Says Vijayta, "They are still children. To see their father in this conditi...Even as I speak to you one of the boys is in the hospital with his father. Our children's lives are torn apart." The family is undergoing tremendous financial hardships, with one life-saving injection costing Rs. 12 lakhs. Somewhere I sense Vijayta's isolation from the film fraternity. In 2011, when Aadesh had first been diagnosed with cancer he had told me, "Falling ill so suddenly was traumatic. But the cold-shoulder treatment I got from the people with whom I've closely worked with for years, has caused me even more damage than the disease itself. Nobody came to visit me after I fell sick." The film industry prides itself on being human. Why not reach out to this family and to this terminally ill talented composer who gave such great songs for the Big B to sing in Baghbaan and other films?

Aadesh Shrivastava miffed with Salim-Sulaiman

12 Sep 2012

Composer Aadesh Shrivastava is acutely peeved with his colleagues Salim-Sulaiman for walking away with the credit for the entire score of Chakravyuh.

Speaking from LA where Aadesh is attending to the release of his first international single, the composer fumed, "I had earlier worked with Prakash Jha in Raajneeti over the song 'Mora Piya' which was a big success. So I happily agreed to contribute an item song entitled 'Paro' to Chakravyuh. But I am not happy about the way my song is being neglected in the marketing of the music."

Aadesh claims the entire credit for his track 'Paro' is going to Salim-Sulaiman who have done the rest of the score. And neither the composers nor Prakash Jha is doing anything to rectify the misapprehension.

Says Aadesh, "I am shocked and disappointed to see credit for my song going to Salim-Sulaiman. Surprisingly, they haven't come forward to clear the air regarding who's done the 'Paro' song. Neither has Prakash Jha. I've sent him a long message requesting him to ensure I get credit for it."

Prakash Jha is far from amused at the allegation. "First of all, why blame Salim-Sulaiman. The marketing and the promotion of a film and its music is the producer's responsibility. As the producer of Chakravyuh, I know exactly how to promote the songs. I don't know what Aadesh is getting insecure about. Salim-Sulaiman have done 2 songs and the entire background score for my film. Naturally they are the face of the film's soundtrack."

Prakash says Aadesh's track would get its attention and recognition at the right time. "It's a catchy dance number featuring Abhay Deol and Arjun Rampal. When the song is on air, Aadesh would definitely get credit for it. I see no reason for this negativity."

Aadesh, however, maintains that a perception is being created that the entire score is by Salim-Sulaiman. "Please go on the internet. You'll know what I mean. I don't know who is responsible. All I am asking is give me my due credit. I am trying to get my groove back after my illness."
