They have two kids - son Vivaan Khan and daughter Sairah."We signed a register.. but went ahead and happily did all the cultural ceremonies from both sides anyway! I wore my naanis jewellery, my friend @vidyatikari did my make up and made a trendy cornrow hairstyle which created much confusion in the mandap as to which one to fill with sindoor It took me an hour to take the pins off and i looked electrocuted on my wedding night. I mixed & matched my wedding outfits myself. We invited everyone with a phone call & wedding cards sent by actual post mail.. yeah like with a postage stamp! This was way before we became filmmaker & TV host and we weren't really worried about whether we would "make it" in life .. just had the most fun planning how we could blow up our next paychecks on a travel adventure together," the caption further reads.Kabir is best known for directing projects such as 'Ek Tha Tiger', 'New York', 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' and '83' among others."It still feels like 5 years ago honestly.. so can't fathom how all this time has passed..In all these years, what I have learnt is to focus on our similarities, not our differences. To keep a sense of humour (you need tons of it) and a short memory about things that don't feel so good (lots of those too) And looks like we made it! Updated: Aug 25, 2021 - 9:54 PM IST Just recently 83 director Kabir Khan was in conversation exclusively with Bollywood Hungama where he spoke about his journey in Bollywood, his films, his experience shooting Kabul Express in Afghanistan and a lot more. But what caught our attention was Kabir expressing his views on the Mughals. When asked what his feedback was on films demonizing the Mughals, Kabir firmly claimed that the Mughals were the original nation builders and portraying them as murderers is wrong.Talking about his views on the Mughals Kabir Khan added, I find it I find it hugely problematic and disturbing. What really makes me upset for reason is because it's being just done to go with the popular narrative. You know, unfortunately, it's not. I can understand when a filmmaker has researched something, and a filmmaker wants to make a point there. Of course, there can be different viewpoints. You know, I'm saying you want to demonize the moguls, please base it on some research and do it and make us understand why, right. Why they were the villains that you think they were. Because if you do some research, if you read history, it's very tough to understand why they were why they have to be villainized. I think they were one of the original nation builders, and to just strike them off and just pass off some line saying No, no, no, no the Euro massacre people, they can murder people. They did this. They did that. But what is basing it on? Please point out the historical evidence, please have an open debate.Further talking about films that are based on topics that demonize the Mughals Kabir continued, Just don't go with a narrative that you think will be popular. And it's the easiest thing today, right? Just demonizing the moguls and various other Muslim rulers that India had at different points in the history trying to fit them into preconceived sort of stereotypes. It is distressing, I cannot respect those films. Unfortunately, that's my personal opinion. Of course, I can speak for the larger audiences. But I definitely get upset by those kind of portrayals.Meanwhile, on the work front, Kabir Khan will helm Ranveer Singh starter. The film is waiting to release in theatres.
Of late there have been reports of a sequel to Bajrangi Bhaijaan. But when I asked director Kabir Khan about it, he seems unaware of any such plans. So I reached out to the Bajrangi Bhaijaan writer K Vijayendra Prasad who is quoted as saying that a sequel is on the anvil. This is what he replied: I have some ideas for a sequel. And I am working on them. But nothing concrete.Beyond this, there is no director no Salman Khanhence really no sequel as of now. The heartening news about veteran writer K Vijayendra Prasad is that he will direct a film set during the turbulent times that followed the demolition of the Babri Masjid on December 6, 1992.The film is entitled Kabir.Says a source, It is not pro-government film. Kabir takes a look at the turmoil that our country faced after Babri Masjid was demolished and one mans heroic attempt to stand up to the violence that followed. The film to be directed by Vijayendra Prasad will be produced by Pahlaj Nihalani. Nihalani bought Vijayendra Prasads script after hearing the plot. It tells the story of a protagonist named Kabir and his experiences after the Babri demolition.
