Ace cinematographer Ashok Mehta passes away

16 Aug 2012

Bollywood never had it so bad. This is one year that has seen many Bollywood legends pass away. Adding to the list of those who have departed for 'heavenly abode' was the noted cinematographer Ashok Mehta who passed away yesterday, as he succumbed to his illness.

Ashok was suffering from lung cancer and was in and out of hospital since February. The late Ashok Mehta is best known for his outstanding camera work in films such as Bandit Queen, Gaja Gamini amongst others. Needless to say that with his loss, Bollywood will never ever be the same again.

Bollywood Hungama offers his heartfelt condolences to the departed soul.
