Earlier we had reported that Sunny Deol has commenced work on the sequel to his 1990 hit film Ghayal . While the film, Ghayal Returns, had been subject to multiple changes, first with the screenplay writer Piyush Mishra opting out followed by the director of the film Ashwini Chaudhary being replaced by Rahul Rawail only to be later replaced by Sunny Deol himself, we now hear that Soha Ali Khan has been roped in as the lead actress for the same.

Though no official announcement of the film was made, the team started shooting earlier this week. As for the story, Ghayal Returns is said to take off from where the original ended and will be another high octane action oriented film. However, despite being an action oriented film, Soha Ali Khan confirmed her involvement in the project stating that though the film will be predominantly on Sunny Deol, she plays a substantial and pivotal part in the film.

While most actresses in action films tend to remain as props, Soha Ali Khan added that unlike conventional action films her role is that of the lead actress with plenty of meaty scenes in this film.
