Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], April 13 : On the sixth anniversary of the film 'October', actor Varun Dhawan walked down memory lane and shared a behind-the-scenes video to mark this day.Taking to Instagram stories, Varun treated fans with a video.The film stars Banita Sandhu and Gitanjali Rao. Varun in 'October' demonstrated how natural he could look while playing even the most straightforward roles. He gave a fantastic performance in this Shoojit Sircar film. The critics were unable to restrain themselves from praising Varun's legendary performance as Danish in this play.The flick hit the theatres on April 13, 2018. Meanwhile, Varun Dhawan is all set to team up once again with his father, acclaimed director David Dhawan, for their next big project.Trade analyst Taran Adarsh confirmed the news on his official Instagram handle.Backed by Tips Films and produced by Ramesh Taurani, the upcoming collaboration is poised to deliver a cinematic experience like no other.Scheduled for a nationwide release on October 2, 2025, the project is anticipated to be a celebration of family bonds, romance, and side-splitting comedy.This venture marks the fourth collaboration between Varun and David Dhawan, following the success of their previous projects like 'Main Tera Hero,' 'Judwaa 2,' and 'Coolie No 1.Varun recently resumed shooting for his upcoming action thriller film 'Baby John'.'Baby John' is the title of the film, which is directed by A. Kaleeswaran. Atlee is presenting the film in association with Jio Studios and Cine1 Studios.Keerthy Suresh, Wamiqa Gabbi, Jackie Shroff, and Rajpal Yadav are also a part of 'Baby John', which will hit the theatres on May 31, 2024. The film is produced by Murad Khetani, Priya Atlee and Jyoti Deshpande.In the coming months, Varun will be seen in the Indian adaptation of the Hollywood series 'Citadel' opposite actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu.It is an Indian adaptation of the Russo Brothers' series of the same name. Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden headlined the international version. The release date of the Indian version of Citadel is awaited. Raj and DK have created the Indian version.

Shah Rukh Khan started the ladies-first trend in credits billings. For the past three years the superstar Khan has insisted on his name appearing after the leading lady in the credit titles. Now Varun Dhawan has gone a step further in his latest release October.He not only takes billing after his leading Banita Sandhu, he also follows Gitanjali Rao, the actress who plays Banitas mother, in the credits, Is this Varuns token gesture for women empowerment? Says Varun, It is just something I felt was right. Banita plays Shiuli, the character around whom the film revolves. And Gitanjali Rao as her mother deserves just as much prominence. They are the stars of the film. The other stars of October are the screenwriter Juhi Chaturvedi and the director Shoojit Sircar. If I had my way Id have placed my name after theirs also in the credits. Theyre the real stars of October.Varun, it seems, is not only into making token gestures in support of women. I do respond to all that is happening in the country, specially atrocities against women and children which are intolerable to me and to any conscientious Indian. I speak about issues on Twitter. But I dont think thats enough. I do other things to express my solidarity with the campaign to protect women and children. But I dont like to talk about these things. The Shoojit Sircar directorial October is all set to release this weekend. Starring Varun Dhawan , Banita Sandhu and Gitanjali Rao the film has created quite a stir with its first look and trailer that released a while back. But even before the film hits screens this Friday, we hear that Varun Dhawan has in fact done a Shah Rukh Khan with October.For those of you who are wondering what we are talking about, let us refresh your memory by taking you back to March 2013, when Shah Rukh Khan made a decision to support women empowerment by crediting the lead actress of his films before him in the opening credits. While Shah Rukh Khan followed up this decision by crediting Deepika Padukone first in the film Chennai Express and did the same with his subsequent releases, we hear that with October Varun Dhawan has done the same. In fact, as per sources the opening credits of October features the names of Banita Sandhu and Gitanjali Rao before Varun Dhawan. While the reason for this remains unknown, we must say that this comes as a welcome gesture. Though it may not make much of a difference on a large scale this small change does go a long way in making a point. As for the film itself, October that is said to be a romantic drama that is written by Juhi Chaturvedi and directed by Shoojit Sircar starts Banita Sandhu and Gitanjali Rao who will be making their Bollywood debuts alongside Varun Dhawan.
