While his role in Bhaag Milkha Bhaag turned iconic in the history of Indian cinema, Farhan Akhtar is all set for yet another sports character. However, this time around, it is that of a boxer. Director Mohit Suri will be collaborating with producer Goldie Behl for the untitled venture that is primarily said to revolve around a father-son relationship starring Farhan Akhtar in the lead. Talking about the same, Mohit Suri maintained that although the character to be essayed by Farhan Akhtar which is that of a boxer is fictional, the story of the film is inspired by his own life. Speaking about his own life connect with the film, Suri revealed that the emotional angle in the film that traces the bond between the father and the son is inspired by his relation with his father. Elaborating further, Mohit added that the film will touch upon the struggles of a single dad, something similar to what his father faced whilst raising up Mohit alone. Reminiscing about those days, the director with a heavy heart stated that he had lost his mother when he was eight and how his father had turned a single dad at the mere age of 36. Coming to getting Farhan Akhtar on board, Mohit had approached the multi-talented star along with producer Goldie Behl for the film. He further asserted that he has already discussed the script with Farhan who was not only impressed by the same but has also greenlit the project. The casting for the actors son and other roles is still underway. Mohit Suri also mentioned that he will be starting with his next project as soon as he returns from his 2 week US trip. Reportedly, the film is set in two time zones, one where Farhan Akhtar will be seen in the role of a doting son and later as a father to a kid. From what we hear, the actor has already started prepping for the same and will be undergoing physical training to get his body into the shape of a boxer.

Mohit Suri may still be riding the high wave with the success of his recent release Half Girlfriend that featured Arjun Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor in the lead roles. Goldie Behl, who has been following both the Kabaddi League and Football League, closely saw immense potential in the Pro Wrestling League and was the first to bet major bucks on the Haryana team, Haryana Hammers. When asked, Goldie Behl said, Its an earthy Indian sport and my son Ranveer to keep wrestling with the pillows on the bed. So, its a sport that not only has appeal to the masses but also with the children in cities. Haryana Hammers is a team that some of my school friends from Mayo have come together to part of so when they asked me to join them I agreed instantly. I am very excited to have class icon player Yogeshwar Dutt as part of our team. And Im glad that Indian and international players are finally getting their due. Producer-director Goldie Behl, who has been a little aloof from the Bollywood scene for a while, has decided to come up with a new film and he will be joining hands with none other than Bhushan Kumar of T-Series.

The said film which will be produced under the banner Rose Movies and T- Series, will be directed by Mohit Suri. From what we hear, the film is a family drama and will focus on the relationship between a father and a son. Since the film is the preliminary stage, the makers remain tightlipped about the cast and plot of the film. It is also being said that the untitled project will feature a stellar cast.

Mohit Suri, who has directed films like Ek Villain , is relatively new to the genre of family drama. The director is currently busy with the Emraan Hashmi, Vidya Balan, Rajkummar Rao starrer Hamari Adhuri Kahani .

Rose Movies of Goldie Behl have set the stage for two films. Goldie Behl, who is also the husband of actress Sonali Bendre, announced two projects which he will be producing soon under his banner.

For the first one which is titled Bade Bhaisaab , producer Goldie has roped in actor Irrfan Khan to play the lead and the film will be directed by filmmaker Tigmanshu Dhulia. Confirming it officially on his Twitter handle, Goldie Behl said, "Excited to collaborate wid d most talented n powerhouse actor-director combo of Tigmanshu and @irrfan_k on our next production @rosemovies". While this is the first in the pipeline, a few details of the second one too have been finalized. Goldie Behl revealed that his second film is titled Humein Aitraz Hai . Adding further on the concept and the director, Goldie mentioned that he decided to rope in Abhishek Sharma of Tere Bin Laden and The Shaukeens fame because he is apt for making a quirky and funny film. However, the details of the cast are yet to be finalized.

Bade Bhaisaab and Humein Aitraz Hai are slated to go on floors in 2015.
