I was told that it's being directed by Suparn Varma and we have wanted to work together for many years now and the second this role happened and the show came into my purview, I think I fought for this show that I wanted to be a part of. I created this opportunity for myself and I'm very, very proud of it. So there was no realm in which I would have said no. It was always a yes from the word go."'The Trial - Pyaar, Kaanoon, Dhokha' will be out on Disney+ Hotstar on July 14.

Kubbra Sait tests positive for COVID-19, urges people to mask up

Bollywood actress Kubbra Sait has tested positive for coronavirus. The actor shared her diagnosis on social media. Kubbra said she has mild symptoms and is doing fine.The actress also urged people who recently came in contact with her to either get tested or stay indoors so that they do not become the carriers of Covid-19.Taking to Instagram stories, Kubbra wrote, Hey beautiful peeps, First and foremost #maskup. Second, Ive tested positive with mild/ asymptomatic covid19. If we were in contact with me, please run a home test (so that we dont burden the already burdened testing system). I havent still received the results from the lab its been 36 hours), else better stay indoors and take a break. You may not even realise youre a carrier (at this stage).She added, Im alright. Resting and watching TV. Stay calm state of mind, consume loads of fluids, watch little TV and phone. Onir ropes in Kubbra Sait and Nimisha Sajayan for the sequel of I Am, titled We Are

The filmmaker has revealed that he has roped in actress Kubbra Saitwho was last seen in Jawaani Jaaneman for one segment of his film.Talking to a daily, Onir confirmed that he has completed the scripting of the project and has started the casting process. Kubbra will be paired alongside Malayalam film star Nimisha Sajayan. Nimisha is a Malayalam film actor known for films like The Great Indian Kitchen, Nayattu, and Malik. She will be making her Bollywood debut with We Are.Kubbra Sait will be playing the role of a girl who is closeted and is outed without consent. We Are will revolve around four different stories which will tell different aspects of queer life.I Am was released in 2010 and consisted of four stories- Omar, Afia, Abhimanyu, and Megha. Each film was based on real-life and shared a common theme of fear.

Condolences to the family."Youll be missed on earth Amit Mistry worked in many TV shows and films throughout his career. He played Preity Zinta's brother in Kya Kehna. He starred in films including Yamla Pagla Deewana, Singh Saab the Great, and Chor Bani Thangaat Kare, a Gujarati comedy family drama directed by Rahul Bhole. Vidyut Jammwal starrer Khuda Haafiz 2 likely to start rolling in April 2021

While the COVID-19 pandemic resulted in a shutdown of theatres and forced filmmakers to take to OTT platforms for releasing their projects, filmmaker-writer Faruk Kabir has no regrets. In fact, hes glad that his Vidyut Jammwal and Shivaleeka Oberoi-starrer, Khuda Haafiz released digitally. "I expected the story to resonate with the youth, but since it released on OTT, people across all age groups reached out to me and told me how the film impacted them, he says.Since the film was received well, the makers announced soon after the release that KhudaHaafiz would have a sequel. Faruk says that he always knew that the film would require a second part. He says, The story of Sameer and Nargis (the lead actors) remained unfinished at the end of the film. I had once shared the idea of a sequel with Vidyut, so that his imagination could take flight. Post the success of the film, Kumarji (Kumar Mangat, producer) was eager I carry the journey forward".Khuda Haafiz was inspired by the story of a real-life newlywed couple. Faruk says that the idea of the sequel came to his mind because of the couple and the various incidents from their life that he would like to recreate on screen. The director has about three months of writing to do before the sequel goes on the floors in April, 2021.While Khuda Haafiz was majorly shot in Uzbekistan, the location for shooting the sequel is yet to be finalised. "We might shoot the film in two different locations, says Faruk, adding that the sequel will be a bigger challenge for the lead pair and a more difficult film to approach emotionally."Talking about his lead actor, Vidyut, and the bond he shares with him, Faruk says, Our relationship goes beyond films. After a long time, Ive found a friend within the industry. Our conversations are never limited to cinema. I want to showcase the depth in his personality on screen. As far as his character in the film goes, the sequel will see him do action sequences, as thats his forte, but only as per the requirement of the character."Faruk hasnt finalised the rest of the cast yet, but reveals that there will be three-four significant secondary characters who are still being developed.
