The past few months have not been easy on the gorgeous Nargis Fakhri. It has now come to light that Nargis has been seriously ailing for some time now. This explains her abrupt departure from Bollywood. Her last Bollywood release was the Sachiin Joshi starrer Amawas which she didn’t promote properly. Now we know why. Apparently Nargis has valiantly battled ill health to emerge triumphant.On being contacted Nargis confirmed her bout of conquered ill health. “It’s true I was very unwell. But I don't want to talk about it. It’s not something I feel I really want people to know.” On expressing alarm at this disturbing information Nargis reassures me she’s on the way to full recovery. “Don't be alarmed, I’m much better now and taking care of my health. As they say "health is wealth" that is truth, nothing else really matters.”She promises to be back in Bollywood soon. In the meanwhile she has joined the surging ‘Black Lives Matter’ movement in the US. “The racial issue has now overtaken the coronavirus crisis here in America. I am out on the streets supporting the movement,” says Nargis.

Nargis Fakhri made her debut in Bollywood with Imtiaz Ali s Rockstar opposite Ranbir Kapoor.Even though she made her debut after Imtiaz Ali discovered her on a Kingfishers calendar, she has been modelling since she was 16. While shes come a long way from where she started, in a tte--tte with an ex-adult star, Brittni De La Mora, she revealed how she refused to pose nude for Playboy Magazine. The actress has earlier expressed how uncomfortable she gets when it comes to performing passionate scenes or showing too much skin on screen. Recalling the incident, she said that she was modelling when the Playboy College Edition magazine had shortlisted her for a photoshoot. Her agent had spoken to her about it and wanted to know what she thought about it, even though it was a fat paycheck and a huge brand, she refused to be a part of it. She further expressed that shes comfortable with Bollywood because theres not as much skin-show as compared to Hollywood as she has her own reservations about performing bold scenes on camera.

Hrithik Roshan whose recent release War set new box office benchmarks is certainly enjoying his time in the sun. With the success of his film, the actor is on cloud nine, especially with the congratulatory messages pouring in. But away from the big screen, we hear that Hrithik Roshan is gearing up to do a live stage show next month. If that wasnt enough, joining Hrithik will be two other Bollywood names viz. Sunny Leone and Nargis Fakhri who will also be performing at the show in Rotterdam, Netherlands. The said show is slated to happen on November 17, 2019 at the Ahoy Arena in Rotterdam. Organized by Starsline Entertainment, the show will see Bollywood personalities performing for the first time the Netherlands. Apart from Hrithik, Sunny and Nargis, the show will also feature Bollywood playback singers and dancers choreographed by Co Bollywood. As for the tickets, pricing ranges from Euro 53.80 [Rs. 4,200] to Euro 300 [Rs. 23,357], the latter including a special meet and greet session with the stars. Back on the film front, Hrithik Roshans latest release War that also stars Tiger Shroff and Vaani Kapoor has been raking in the moolah at the box office. After drawing in Rs. 53.35 cr on Day 1, the film managed to draw in a further Rs. 24.35 cr on its second day.

In the Sanjay Dutt bio-pic Sanju Manisha Koirala had played Sanjay Dutt s mother. But Sanjay Dutt was played by Ranbir Kapoor.So Manisha says it didnt feel weird playing his wife in Prassthanam , the Hindi remake of the Telugu blockbuster which opens this week. And Manisha clarifies, In Sanju I didnt play Sanjay Dutts mother. I played the great Nargis Dutt who just happened to be Sanjay Dutts mother. That was my big high, and the reason I agreed to do the role. She describes Dutt as one of her favourite co-stars. Weve done quite a few films together in the past like Yalgaar, Khauff and Mehbooba.We share a fantastic rapport. And even if we look at Manishas role in Sanju as that of Sanjay Dutts mother, Manisha is no stranger to pushing the relational envelope. In the year 1996 she played Nana Patekar s daughter in Sanjay Leela Bhansali s Khamoshi The Musical , and then his wife in Agni Sakshi during the same year. Thats okay, Manisha laughs. The very beautiful Nargis Fakhri is back after leaving Bollywood in a huff. She will now be seen with actor-producer Sachiin Joshi in the supernatural thriller Amavas which open on January 11. But hang on. This doesnt mean Nargis has forgotten the grim experiences she had in the Hindi film industry. Says a source in the know, Even now Nargis is not ready to come back to Mumbai. She agreed to do Amavas only because it was shot entirely outside India in London. Nargis Fakhris chilling experience of being harassed by unwanted male attention drove her out of the Indian film industry. A friend of the actress says, There came a day whenshe just couldnt take the persistent calls and passes anymore and decided to quit Bollywood and India. When Nargis declined to entertain the pesky attention, she was dropped from projects. One fine day she was dropped from the one project that she had with a superstar. When she confronted the director, he shrugged helplessly and advised her to ask her superstar-co-star. Nargis preferred to move on. Says the source, No way was she going to give in. On the other hand, just staying on in India on her own terms was becoming more and more tough. Producers would tell her to loosen up, socialize.They would ask her why being a New Yorker, was she so uptight. They think girls in the West are more generous with sexual favours. But there was no chance in hell that she was going to give in. Nargis simply left the country. The lesson she leaves behind is one of gross power abuse and standing up to it. There are a number of top stars in Bollywood who are prime sexual offenders. Some of them are being seen as the sensitive masculine face of the Me Too movement. While Rajkummar Raos first ever international film, 5 Weddings co-starring Nargis Fakhri is scheduled to release on September, the film will be hosting its screening in the much celebrated Melbourne Indian Film Festival 2018 this August. The director Namrata Singh Gujral will present the film at the festival. Speaking on this Gujral says This film is one that is very dear to me and I am grateful to Mitu and her team for having selected it to screenat the festival. Both Raj and Nargis have done a wonderful job in the film and I am positive the audiences will love seeing them in the film and enjoy it. Ranbir Kapoor s Sanju opened to some rave reviews by both masses and classes. Everyone has lapped up his portrayal of the controversial actor, Sanjay Dutt and once again he proved that he is the finest actor of our generation. Now after all the praise, Namrata Dutt came out in open about the movie, her brother and all the characters in the film which are so closely entwined with her life. We all know that it was not just Sanju who faced all the trials and tribulations first because of his drug phase and later after he got embroiled in the 1993 Bombay blast case. Namrata said that she did not judge the characters because it is too personal. Having said that she enjoyed the movie and found it entertaining. She also praised Ranbir for his epic portrayal. When questioned about Paresh Rawal s role in the movie, she said that since she is Sunil Dutts daughter and hence it was difficult for her to connect with Paresh playing her father. She felt the same for Manisha Koirala playing Nargis. Namrata honestly confessed that she is not mere audience but someone who is closely seen her family struggle through hardships because of her brothers poor decisions and wrong choices. Sanju broke all records at the box office and has become one of the most successful films of this year.
