I call this a superhero film where I got the opportunity to play a superhero, she added. The Vaccine War is likely to 'open certain chapters about Indian bio-scientists and indigenous vaccines'. Not a biopic but legendary actress Suchitra Sen will now get a biography

29 Apr 2017

Yesteryear Bengali and Bollywood actress Suchitra Sen has been one of the most intriguing actresses of her times. Speculations about a biopic on her has been doing the rounds for a couple of years but putting all of it to rest, Suchitras granddaughter and popular actress Raima Sen has decided to speak about it. In fact, Raima Sen had already started prepping for the biopic as she was supposed to produce it and had reportedly even approached powerhouse performer Vidya Balan for the role. However, due to many reasons like budget constraints as well as date issues, as stated by the actress, the plan fell through. However, the actress who is a doting granddaughter is sure that she wants to pay a tribute of sorts to her dynamic grandmother and revealed that a biography would be a good idea. Whilst maintaining that Suchitra Sen was a private person and did not like her personal life being discussed, Raima asserted that a biography spanning her professional career and listing out her achievements would be a nice way of paying a tribute to the diva. Furthermore, Raima Sen is also sure that she herself wouldnt want to write the biography since she may get emotional. Hence, in order to maintain the objectivity, the actress is on a lookout for someone, may be from Kolkata itself, who has knowledge about Suchitra Sens history and her career.
