Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], April 4 : Actor Raashii Khanna recently bought a new house in Hyderabad.Pictures of Raashii and her family from the housewarming ceremony have surfaced online.Dressed up in an ethnic suit, Raashii can be seen performing Pooja at her newly purchased property.Meanwhile, on the work front, Raashii is being lauded for her role in action-packed film 'Yodha', which also stars Sidharth Malhotra and Disha Patani.Directed by debutant duo Sagar Ambre and Pushkar Ojha, the high-octane action thriller film follows the character of Arun Katyal, the commanding officer of an elite unit, the Yodha Task Force, on a thrilling rescue operation.In the coming days, she will be seen sharing screen space with Vikrant Massey in 'The Sabarmati Report'.The teaser of 'The Sabarmati Report' was recently unveiled. It offered a glimpse into unknown facts about one of the darkest and most distressing incidents in the country's political history after a coach of the Sabarmati Express, which was packed with Kar Sevaks, was set on fire.In the film, Vikrant plays a vernacular journalist, Samar Kumar, who teams up with a fellow reporter portrayed by Raashii Khanna, and a senior anchor played by Ridhi Dogra.At the end of the teaser clip, Vikrant said, "Haan mein hu Hindi wallah, aur mere jaise iss desh mein crore hai jo Hindi bolte hai. Toh ek din aisa aaega jab Hindi humare pehchan dubara banenge aur tab India banega Bharat (I am a Hindi speaker like crores are in the country. The day isn't far when Hindi will become our identity and India will become Bharat)."The film is all set to hit theatres on May 3.

Bigg Boss-fame model Arshi Khan recently opened up about the Bilkis Bano case during the launch of her dream project 'Mission Nirbheek', an initiative emphasising women's safety and security.Talking about the case, Arshi said, "I live in Maharashtra and the police is incredible over there. Even though I don't know much about the safety of women in all the states across the country, I don't know how the people in Bilkis Bano's case were acquitted. How were they freed? It amazed me how so much crime is committed every day. And I don't understand how people get away with it. Law should be equal for all and the people who commit such heinous crimes should be given strict punishment."For the unversed, during the post-Godhra carriage burning riots in March 2002, Bano was allegedly gang-raped and left to die with 14 members of her family, including her three-year-old daughter. She was five months pregnant when rioters attacked her family in Vadodara.The Gujarat government had granted remission to the 11 convicts in the case. On August 15, the 11 convicts, who were sentenced to life imprisonment, were released. The move to free the convicts by the BJP government triggered a massive furore and drew censure from the Opposition.However, the BJP government in Gujarat filed an affidavit in the Supreme Court, saying remission was granted to the convicts as they had served 14 years in jail and their conduct was found to be good.On women's safety in India, Arshi added," First of all, women should know how to protect themselves. Self-defence is a must. Women's empowerment comes later. We are launching this mission from Punjab and aim to take it to every corner of the country."She added, "Be it girls or women, one should always raise one's voice against violence, whether it is by their brother, father or husband. Such acts should always be opposed. Even I can carry bouncers with me, but I don't need them as I'm capable enough to defend myself."On who her favourite contestant was at Big Boss 16, she said, "Priyanka Chahar Choudhary and Ankit for sure. They are my favourite contestants from Big Boss this time. The series is being produced by Applause Entertainment in association with BBC Studios India. The series will go on floors on July 21, 2021.According to a tabloid, the much-awaited digital debut of Ajay Devgn will kick off next month and will be shot across several locations over the course of two months in Mumbai. South actress Raashii Khanna, who makes her Hindi digital debut with Raj and DK's next with Shahid Kapoor and Vijay Sethupathi, has been roped in to play the lead role, originally played by Ruth Wilson in the British crime-psychological series.Earlier, Bollywood Hungama reported, "Ajay Devgn will be seen in an intense and gritty new cop avatar as he makes his grand entry into the digital space with his first-ever crime-drama series titled Rudra The Edge of Darkness, coming soon on Disney+ Hotstar VIP.
