4 Oct 2023

Rupali Ganguly has penned down an emotional note for her 'Anupamaa' co-star Sagar Parekh as he bids adieu to the show. She took to her Instagram handle and shared pictures with Parekh, who played her son in the show. Along with the photos, she wrote a long message for him.Rupali wrote, "Anupamaa and her Bakuda Samar ..... one of the most beautiful mother-son bond created on television.... the very first relationship I connected to coz that was the very first promo I shot ...""Have loved this extremely detailed emotion of a mother with her favourite child .. a child who understands her, encourages her, gives her strength, holds her hand, treats her like a queen .... A son who is her world and for whom his mother is his world ...," she added."This emotion was further amplified when Saagar came in as my Samar .... Stepping into a well-established character is no easy task ... but the scenes we have done in the last few days have delightfully surprised me with the range and the emotions you have displayed as Samar.... An extremely intricate yet balanced performance in the kitchen scene totally floored me," she recalled shooting with him for the show.Ganguly continued, "It is heartbreaking and emotionally draining and exhausting as Anupamaa bids farewell to her precious child ... but my genuine love for you as a person has made it so much more believable for me to do ... Perhaps it's the final farewell of Anupama to Samar ( or maybe not ) but this bond that we have been blessed with shall forever remain ...thank you for being the beautiful soul that you are Sagar... Thank you for being Samar to my Anupamaa...She shared her best wishes and expressed her gratitude to the director, "Keep shinning always Thank you @rajan.shahi.543 for this unparalleled bond of Anupamaa and her Bakudaa ... forever grateful.. "She concluded with, "Please do watch Anupamaa @starplus 10pm everyday...All of us have put our hearts out there for you to see"Fans are surely going to miss this mother-son bond in the show. One of the social media users wrote, "I watch this show only for mother-son bond, but stopped watching completely"Another mentioned, "I cried seeing the scene! Beautiful it was.. but why they killed him"From starting her acting career at the age of 7 in her father, Anil Ganguly's film 'Saaheb' in 1885, Rupali became a household name in the television industry by playing the role of Monisha in the 2004 comedy sitcom 'Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai'. Sudhanshu Pandey of Anupamma opens up about her rift with co-star Rupali Ganguly

23 Jun 2021

Sudhanshu Pandey, who portrays the role of Vanraj Shah in Star Plus's popular daily drama Anupamaa, finally breaks his silence on reports claiming his rift with co-star Rupali Ganguly. There were rumours about them being not on good terms, which has also divided the star cast into two groups on the sets. With Rupali, Alpana Buch, Aashish Mehrotra, and Muskan Bamne being on one side and Sudhanshu, Madalsa Sharma, Anagha Bhosle, and Paras Kalnawat on the other side. The rumours also spread like wildfire when Sudhanshu's latest post of a promo did not have Rupali tagged in it.Reacting to all these, Sudhanshu while talking to a tabloid, rubbished all the rumours and clarified that there is nothing like that. He said that these are the silly things that people create and he does not understand how their minds work. He also questioned about what he'll achieve by untagging someone. He cited that the track has undergone a change and hence, he will promote with Kavya (Madalsa Sharma) more.He further went on to say that he and Rupali are good co-actors and friends too and there is nothing wrong between them. He feels that a difference of opinion between two actors at times is very normal and can happen any day. He said that there are so many times when one can't agree on something and get a little upset but then it is over. He feels it happens not only with actors working on the sets but also between two individuals at home. He concluded and said that rift or cold war are too strong words to use.At last, he also said that such baseless rumours do not carry any importance in his life; it is only normal for people to assume what goes behind the scenes.

Anupamas Rupali Ganguly opens up after testing Covid positive

3 Apr 2021

Rupali Ganguly has been detected with Covid 19. She connected with me after the tests showed her to be positive. I joked about the bin bulaye mehmaan at her doorstep and she laughed, Wohi to dekhiye na, Subhashji. Mujhe kahan se ho gayamujhe samajh mein nahin aa raha hai (I dont know where I got it from. But it doesnt matter. I will fight this, like Ive fought all my battles in life. Hopefully Ill be back shooting for Anupama sooner than expected. How is she feeling? Well, as of now I feel no symptoms. I hope I dont feel any symptoms ahead also. But the doctors have given me so many medicines. I am not feeling ill with Covid. But I think I am going to fall ill because of those medicines. Mujhe dawaiyan khaane ki aadat nahin hai (I am not used to taking medicines).Rupali has a young son, whose health and safety she is worried about. I got my sons Covid test done this morning. Reports are awaited. I also got my husband and the entire staff in my house tested. Hopefully they will be all clear.Rupali has isolated herself away from her family. I have quarantined myself in our cottage in Araam Nagar. So I am not with my family. I am all alone. I am absolutely away from civilization, with just my dogs for company. My only stress is that my family should not be tested positive. Everything else is fine.In the meanwhile the shooting of Anupama continues without Rupali. Which is a bit like Agra without the Taj Mahal.
