May our country progress this way: Hindustani classical vocalist Soma Ghosh lauds Chandryaan-3 mission

Soma Ghosh shared her excitement and hoped that India will continue to make progress to become vishwa guru.Tomorrow Chandrayaan 3 will land on the moon and our India will take a step forward. I wish that may our country progress in this way and becomes a vishwa guru someday. We are very fortunate PM Modi is thinking so much for our country. Scientists of our country have made many big inventions and we are very proud of them, Soma Ghosh told ANI.Students offered namaz at the Islamic Centre of India in Lucknow for the successful landing of Chandrayaan-3.We are very happy. We are praying for its success since the launch of the spacecraft. We are feeling happy that our country will earn glory. Many students here want to become scientists and we will make our country proud, a student said. Lucknow Eidgah Imam scholar Khalid Rasheed Firangi Mahali said that children offered namaz at the Islamic Centre madrasa and prayed for the successful landing of Chandrayaan-3...They also study science here so they have a lot of curiosity regarding this. I extend my heartiest congratulations to all the scientists and officials of ISRO. If the landing is successful tomorrow on the unexplored lunar south pole, India will be the first country to successfully do this."ISRO has said that the mission is on schedule and systems are undergoing regular checks.Smooth sailing is continuing, The Mission Operations Complex (at ISRO) is buzzed with energy and excitement! Subhash Chandra Bose established the Azad Hind Fauj. While there is a controversy over Bose's death in a plane crash in Taipei on August 18, 1945, the Central government had in an RTI (Right to Information) in 2017 confirmed that he had died in the incident.Since 1966 Subhas Chandra Bose has been a point of interest for many filmmakers across the country. His heroic life, philosophy, bravery and mystery around his death have given birth to many cinematic representations over the years.Today on Bose's 126th birth anniversary, let's look back at movies that depicted on his life.Samadhi- 1950The film does not directly revolve around Subhas' life but around one of his INA soldier's life and struggle to give up the love of his life and sister for the sake of his country. Helmed by Ramesh Saigal, the film portrays the struggle of freedom fighters and Subhas Chandra Bose's ideologies and political views.Subhas Chandra- 1966The Bengali film by Piyush Bose gave a brief peek into how Bose's beliefs evolved and how he evolved into a fierce political activist determined to battle for India's freedom.From Bose's childhood days, college years, to his experience of taking Indian Civil Service test have been showcased in the movie.Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose: The Forgotten Hero-2004The film focused on Bose's escape from house arrest, departure from India, and establishment of the INA. The Azad Hind Fauj's campaign to liberate India from British rule is then shown in the movie. Directed by notable filmmaker Shyam Benegal, the biopic cast Sachin Khedekar as Netaji. Other important characters were played by Jisshu Sengupta (as Sisir Bose), Kulbhusan Kharbanda (as Uttamchand Malhotra), Divya Dutta (as Ila Bose) amongst others. Ami Subhash Bolchi- 2011The movie emphasises social problems and one man's struggle to eradicate them all. Subhas Chandra Bose played a pivotal role in a Bengali layman's life. Debabrata Bose (Mithun Chakraborty) fights for his mother tongue and motherland. Subhas through Debabrata's own conscience motivates and rejuvenates the will to fight for his motherland. Bengali movie directed by Mahesh Manjrekar.Raag Desh- 2017Periodic drama is based on the Indian National Army, which Netaji founded, and the fight to liberate India, which was fought on the banks of the Irrawaddy in Burma. The Red Fort trials of 1945 were a series of trials held at the Red Fort in Delhi where the British accused the INA soldiers of being renegades and Japanese stooges. The dramatic trial that led to India's freedom and those historic events are brought to life in Tigmanshu Dhulia's directorial.- 2017The nine-part television series also delves into the theories around Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose's mysterious death circumstances. The series based on author Auj Dhar's 2012 book India's Biggest Cover-up. The series tries to address the conspiracy theorists who believe that Subhash Chandra Bose did not die in a plane crash in Taiwan on August 18, 1945. Directed by Ekta Kapoor, the series is starred by Rajkummar Rao (as Subhas Chandra Bose).Gumnami- 2019The movie Gumnaami is based on the Mukherjee Commission Hearings, which took place from 1999 to 2005 and during which the three theories regarding the demise of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose were explored and contested. It is a dramatisation of the hearings where a Gumnaami Baba-supporting investigative journalist squares off against an aircraft crash-theory-supporting government attorney. The Death in Russia hypothesis also comes up during their conflict.The Forgotten Army- 2020Initially released in 1999, Kabir Khan's six-episode documentary which was released in the OTT platform with representing lesser-known facts and struggles by Bose's Indian National Army soldiers.

Ellen Pompeo to return as Meredith Grey as Greys Anatomy gets renewed for Season 19

Leading lady of the series Greys Anatomy, Ellen Pompeo has signed a new deal to return to the Shonda Rhimes-created medical drama. ABC has handed out an early season 19 renewal for the medical drama after reaching the new deal with Pompeo to return.Ellen Pompeo joins fellow original stars Chandra Wilson and James Pickens Jr. in coming back for season 19. The latter duo inked multiple-year pacts in May 2021 when TVs longest-running primetime medical drama was picked up for its 18th season.In its 18th season, Greys Anatomy tied with NBCs This Is Us as broadcasts No. 1 series in the all-important adults 18-49 demo. The series is ABCs highest-rated scripted original and has also helped its spinoff, Station 19, to become the networks No. 2 drama overall.Vernoff, who extended her own overall deal with Disneys ABC Signature last March, serves as showrunner on both Greys and Station 19.Vernoff wrote and executive produced Greys Anatomy for its first seven seasons and was hand-picked by Rhimes to take over as showrunner on Greys. Vernoff, whose deal runs until 2023, added Station 19 to her purview ahead of the Greys Anatomy spinoffs third season. Station 19 is currently awaiting word on its sixth season and is expected to also return.As per reports, the star behind the iconic role of Dr. Meredith Grey received another salary increase and remains broadcast televisions highest-earning actress in a primetime drama series. Meanwhile, no decisions have been made on if season 19 will be end of the road for Greys. In addition to starring, Pompeo exec produces Greys as well as Station 19.Rhimes first show with Netflix, Bridgerton, become the streamers most watched original. Inventing Anna, the first show Rhimes has written and created since ABCs Scandal, launches in February.Pompeo, Wilson (Bailey) and Pickens (Richard) lead a Greys cast that also includes Kevin McKidd (Owen), Camilla Luddington (Jo), Kim Raver (Teddy), Caterina Scorsone (Amelia), Kelly McCreary (Maggie), Jake Borelli (Levi), Chris Carmack (Link), Richard Flood (Cormac), Antony Hill (Winston) and Scott Speedman (Nick).Greys Anatomy is the first scripted series that ABC has renewed for the 2022-23 broadcast season.
