In a recent conversation, actor Sameera Reddy opened up on how after her pregancy, a 'dark phase' began and she quarantined herself at home for nearly one and a half year. She also added that this mentally prepared her for the lock-down which is now going on.A mother to two, Sameera has opened up on post-partum depression time and again. While it is not an easy stage of life to deal with, Sameera says she is in love with the new version of herself, which isn't really slim or sexy in the typical way. She said her slim version from her acting days had no confidence but now, she is really confident enough to flaunt her flab.Sameera also emphasised that our perspective towards the lockdown was important and we could use it as an opportunity. She added that she did not get to spend to spend so much time with her husband ever since they got married.

Actress Sameera Reddy who married entrepreneur Akshai Varde in January 2014 was blessed with a baby boy on May 24 (and not May 25, as reported in the press).

Sameera who is still recuperating in a hospital in Mumbai says she is feeling on top of the world. "My husband Akshai and I are blessed with the most beautiful precious little angel. We are thrilled with the new and most adorable addition to our family." Several names for their first born is being considered.

Says Sameera, "We've yet to decide on a name for him. Motherhood is one of the most selfless experiences a woman goes through. It is very humbling." Talking about her husband, Sameera says, "We both share a passion for mo'bikes. Akshai has his own range of mo'bikes. That's how we met. I love mo'bikes and riding them is my passion. Akshai saw me whizzing past on this really mean macho machine. I think he was impressed by my love for mo'bikes. Our relationship started there. We've known one another for years before we married. Akshai is well-known in his own field but not part of showbiz. I think that was very important for me. I wanted to marry outside the film industry." As for returning to acting Sameera says, "Right now my full focus is on motherhood. But never say never again to anything."

Sameera Reddy, who got married to Akshay Varde in January, last year, delivered a baby boy yesterday. Even though there has been no official announcement of the baby, Sameera's sister Sushma Reddy told a leading newspaper that, within 3-4 days, Sameera will speak about her baby.
