The 2016 series features Tom Hiddleston in the lead role. In the remake, Anil will essay the role which was originally played by Hugh Laurie. It will also feature Aditya Roy Kapur and Sobhita Dhulipala in lead roles. The original British series became a massive hit across the globe and earned several awards at the 74th Golden Globe Awards. The series will be released on Disney+ Hotstar. A major update on the web series is expected to be out very soon. Anil Kapoor, who was last seen in 'Jug Jugg Jeeyo', is all set to share screen space with Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone in 'Fighter', which is being helmed by Siddharth Anand. He also has Ranbir Kapoor's Animal as one of his upcoming movies.

Producer Shailendra Singh is starting the year off with a bang. In the pipeline are two powerful biopics that he is set to produce in collaboration with Reliance Entertainment this year- one titled M.S. Bitta: Hit-List which is jointly produced with Priya Gupta, the other is the inspirational life story of Kings United the dance troupe, which recently won USD 1 million on the American reality show World Of Dance. The biopic on M.S Bitta will celebrate the valour, courage, and strength of the man who survived multiple assassination bids in the mid-1990s, and now heads the All India Anti-Terrorist Front. The venerable M.S Bitta says, I have dedicated my whole life to fighting terrorism for my India. I dont fear any bomb in the world. I only fear Political Terrorism. I am very honoured that Shailendra Singh, Priya Gupta, and Reliance Entertainment have united to share my story with the world. Singhs second film made news when he first acquired the rights of Kings Uniteds life story. The working title for the film is The Kings and will be about the twenty young strugglers and their journey from gully to glory, from Nallasoapra to Los Angeles. Suresh Mukund, Founder of Kings United, says, Our journey has been full of trials and tribulations, victory and glory. But we had a dream, and they only thing we knew to do, was to keep chasing that dream. We believe that Shailendra Singh truly understands our story and can translate it in to film. With biopics garnering immense interest from filmmakers across Bollywood, there has been an announcement on another biopic. This one yet again celebrates the valor, courage and strength of a man who not only was the chairman of the All India Anti-Terrorist Front but also a renowned politician. We are talking about M S Bitta aka Maninderjeet Singh Bitta, who was appointed as the president of Indian Youth Congress by P.V. Narasimha Rao himself. His story will be presented on the celluloid by Shailendra Singh and Priya Gupta in Zinda Shaheed ! In a recent announcement, it has been revealed that Shailendra Singh and Priya Gupta will be jointly producing the biopic on M S Bitta in the film titled Zinda Shaheed.In a recent post that was shared on social media by Taran Adarsh, it was confirmed that the two of them have acquired the rights of the story of M S Bitta for their next. In the same statement, it was also revealed that the film is in its initial stages and hence the logistic details and others are yet to be finalized. An announcement on the director and the cast is expected to be made soon. On the other hand, it is being said that the makers are keen on commencing the shoot of Zinda Shaheed in the first half of 2020. He has been given extreme security by the Indian government after he had to face two major attacks. If reports are to be believed, he lost one of his legs in the 1992 Bomb attacks in Amritsar. He later was also injured during the 1993 deadly attack on Indian Youth Congress in New Delhi.

Back in 2008 we saw the release of the action comedy Singh Is Kinng that featured Akshay Kumar in the lead role. Years on, the films producer Shailendra Singh had announced that he was keen on making a sequel to the same, and that he had locked on a title even better than the first. Now, we hear that the film has been titled Sher Singh and will in all likelihood feature Ranveer Singh taking over the mantle from Akshay Kumar. Commenting on the same, Shailendra Singh stated that while he was pretty keen on taking the title Singh Is Kinng forward since Vipul Shah was not ready to part with the rights of the same he had decided to retitle the film to Sher Singh.Further talking about the film, Singh added that though it would not be a superhero film as such, he was looking at turning Sher Singh into a franchise film with the main character being a normal yet extraordinary person. Later, as he went on to talk about the casting on Sher Singh , Shailendra Singh mentioned that while Singh Is Kinng featured Akshay Kumar, Sher Singh would see Ranveer Singh take over. Explaining about the same further, Singh added that Ranveer was perfect for the role and suited it to a T. If that wasnt enough, Singh also maintained that the actor was pretty impressed by the premise of Sher Singh and had requested for a 10 page script that Shailendra Singh will be presenting soon. Ranveer Singh is currently gearing up for his first role as a negative character in Padmavati.The actor will later move on to Zoya Akhtars Gully Boy and he has also signed Temper remake with Rohit Shetty.

The CBFC (Censor Board Of Film Certification)'s office was opened on Sunday specially to view Percept Pictures' head honcho's directorial debut Sunshine Music Tours & Travels, only because the film's release would have otherwise been delayed.

Says a source from the CBFC, "There was an unusual number of films to be censored this week and Thursday was a holiday. So we decided to open our office on Sunday as an exceptional case," However, the "special" treatment ended there.

Sunshine Music Tours & Travel was granted an 'Adults Only' certificate. And Shailendra is happy, "I expected and in fact welcomed an 'A' certificate. The film has several dialogues and situations that are suitable for adult viewing."

With several actors making their acting debut this year, yet another name who has joined the league is Sunny Kaushal. Shailendra Singh is all geared to bring in yet another talent in the form of Sunny Kaushal in his directorial debut. A source revealed, Sunny who usually keeps his second name at bay when he goes for auditions, shared huge monologs with Shailendra and instantly bagged the role only later revealing that he's Shyam Kaushal's son.

Not only that but it being his debut, Shailendra narrated the film several times to Sunny but did not share the script with him, since he wanted to give him freedom for improvisation and not letting him have a one mind track for the scenes. The film, Sunshine Music Tours and Travels has extensively been shot in exotic locations highlighting the beauty of Kashmir to Goa showing the real essence of India. The film is an unpredictable chaotic journey with elements of laughter, drama and thus this travel musical is a treat for people young at heart.

On touching base with Shailendra he stated, "My first directorial venture has everything that I was looking for in a Bollywood film, mauj, masti and masala along with a new journey in Bollywood for Sunny. " Sunshine Music Tours and Travels is slated to release on September 2.

A while back Karan Johar and Ekta Kapoor's jointly produced sex comedy had made news first for the union of two major filmmakers and then for its titled. Now we hear that the film which was titled No Sex Please...We're Indians has run into a spot of trouble.

In fact it is learnt that Shailendra Singh has already registered a title of the same name earlier this year. Commenting on this, Singh stated that he will soon be seen turning director with a film titled No Sex Please, which he registered in April this year. If that wasn't enough Singh also states that he has already shot the title song of the film and hence would be unable to change the title.

However, on the other hand, Tanuj Garag, CEO of Balaji Motion Pictures, states that the film was never really titled and that No Sex Please...We're Indians, in fact that was what the project was being called, it wasn't even a working title of sorts.

Maverick producer and marketing magnate Shailendra Singh's directorial debut Gupta Clinic will feature Saurabh Shukla in a role inspired by Singh himself.

Says Singh with a chuckle, "I am not going to deny the fact that I do like to be known as someone who helps out friends. But my film is only about advice on physical relationship. A recent survey has revealed that 47 percent of the young couples in the country prefer to spend time watching television or surfing the net instead of being with their partners. This is a disturbing trend. We need to examine why this is so. I'd like to think Surabh's character shares my concern for the decline in the intensity level among young urban couples."

Quirky comedies can get no quirkier than this. Long-standing producer Shailendra Singh is all set to turn director with a film on physical relationship.

However the film entitled Gupta Clinic will have no mention of sex.

Says Singh, "Everyone jumped when they heard I was doing a film about a man who offers advice on physical relationships, they thought I was doing a sex comedy based on those self-appointed in those pokey sex clinics in the smaller towns. But my film is not about sex. There will be no mention of the 'S' word at all. I'll be aiming for a UA certificate.

The upcoming Salman Khan, Sonakshi Sinha starrer Dabanng 2 which is being touted to make new records has landed in legal trouble just days before its release. In fact yesteryears lyricist and filmmaker Shailendra's family is unhappy with the song ' Pandeyjee Seeti Bajaye ' from Dabangg 2 . According to the lyricist's granddaughter Priyannkka Shaily Shailendra, the song has been inspired from the track ' Chalat Musafir ', composed by Shankar-Jaikishan for her grandfather's production, Teesri Kasam. Taking legal recourse to sort the matter she has sent a legal notice to the producers and associates of the film.

In a statement made to the media, Priyannkka says that apart from the first stanza, the tune for the rest of the song has been inspired from her grandfather's composition. However, on the other hand, composers Sajid-Wajid claim that they have used a folk tune for the said song and hence didn't buy the rights for the same.
