The film has been directed by Papa Rao Biyyala and the music has been given by the legendary Ilayaraaja.In the musical drama, Shriya Saran is essaying the role of music teacher while Sharman Joshi is the dance teacher.The trailer showed the pair working with young performers like Gracy Goswami and Ozu Barua, among others, to stage a musical performance based on 'The Sound of Music'. The trailer takes viewers on a musical trip while illustrating the hardships of a music and theatre teacher to support performing arts for kids amidst intense academic pressure from parents, teachers, and society.

Shriya Saran shared about her character and excitement of doing kathak in the film. 'Kabzaa' is a period film about the rise of gangsters in India, set between 1942 to 1984. It revolves around a freedom fighter's son who gets trapped in the mafia world.Speaking to ANI, actress Shriya Saran who is playing the lead role in 'Kabzaa' along with Kiccha Sudeep, shared her thoughts on doing this movie, "Many thoughts came in like what will be my role among so many heroes in the film, will I have any role or not. When director, R Chandru was narrating the story to me, after seeing the passion and dedication in his eyes, it showed that this film is larger than life."Talking about her character in the film, Shriya said, "When I was doing Kathak in this film, I was like perfect. I really wanted to be part of his vision and I am glad I am part of it."The film is made in Kannada language which will be released in Hindi apart from many languages of South India.Shriya shared her views on Indian cinema, she said that "It is a good thing that the country is connecting through entertainment. I belong to the time of Doordarshan and now everything has become one i.e., Pan India."On the other hand, producer Anand Pandit said that "It is a big deal from the point of view of business as well where Pan India films are now made and released."Talking about the film, Anand Pandit said, "The film is a fictional story of the underworld and is not inspired by any underworld don. The film 'Kabzaa' is a period film that depicts the period of Independence. Underworld is one such subject which has a very good strike rate at the box office."'Kabzaa' has been dropping surprises for its fans ever since the announcement of the film was made! In the pictures and videos, Shriya can be seen spending time with her family and penned a heartfelt note to mark the special occasion.She wrote, "Happy anniversary @andreikoscheev grateful for the love and laughter we have enjoyed. May we always keep growing, exploring, learning, travelling, giving love, receiving love, spreading happiness, always be wonderful friends and lovers.""I will be Always grateful for my chance meeting with you. The 2015 thriller Drishyam, starring Ajay Devgn, Tabu and Shriya Saran was an acclaimed film due to its unique script and engaging narrative. A remake of the 2013 Malayalam film of the same name, in the film, the protagonist, Vijay Sargaonkar, is shown to be a cinema buff who gets ideas of deceiving the cops through movies. The makers of the film, however, would not have thought that 5 years later, someone would get inspired from Drishyam while committing a heinous crime.On Thursday January 14, the Boisar police arrested 34-year-old Suraj Harmalkar for allegedly killing his girlfriend in October 2020 in his rented flat in Vangaon, Palghar. Shockingly, the alleged killer hid the body in the bathroom loft of this flat and even cemented it to avoid a foul smell.As per news reports, Suraj Harmalkar and 32-year-old Amita Mohite were in a relationship for six years. Anitas family had even approved of their relationship. On October 21, 2020, the couple went out to shop for their impending wedding. However, she didnt return home and didnt even pick up the calls by her family members. Later, they received WhatsApp messages stating that she and Suraj have moved to Vapi and that they have got married. The family tried contacting Suraj Harmalkar but he refused to speak to them. Since the family knew Suraj very well, they didnt bother and didnt report the cops.It was only last week that Amita Mohites brother Rupesh spotted Suraj in Boisar that he caught him along with his family members. They forced him to take them to Vapi to meet Amita. On the way, however, Suraj escaped. This is when they filed a police complaint against him and the cops then tracked him down. Suraj then confessed to his crime.As per reports, an officer from Boisar police claimed that the accused didnt want to marry Amita. But she kept pestering him. As a result, he strangled her with a belt and wrapped the body in clothes and plastic sheets. He dumped her body on the loft and then constructed a wall with cement, mortar and anti-leak glue. Moreover, Suraj also continued to pay rent and visited the flat regularly, in the F-wing of Vrindavan Darshan Society, to ensure there was no foul smell.Shockingly, during the course of the interrogation, Suraj Harmalkar revealed that he got the idea of hiding the mortal remains from Drishyam. In the Ajay Devgn-starrer, Vijay Salgaonkar and his family are in a fix because his wife and elder daughter accidentally kill a person while saving themselves from his sexual assault. The victim turns out to be the son of a strict police officer (Tabu). How Vijay and his family manage to prove their innocence and deceive the police forms the rest of the film. In the climax, it is revealed that the victims body is never found and thats because Vijay had carefully hidden it in the under construction police station in his locality.This particular bit in the end seems to have inspired Suraj Harmalkar. Sadly for him, unlike Vijay Salgaonkar, he couldnt fool the cops and didnt come up with a believable story to escape from the hands of the law.

Actress Shriya Saran who is currently living in Barcelona with her husband Andrei Koscheev opened up about her husband showing symptoms of COVID-19 and how they have witnessed the spread of the virus in Spain. While talking to a daily, Shriya said that she has been under lockdown for a month now in Barcelona. She said that their life changed within weeks. However, what hit them most was when Shriya's husband started showing symptoms of COVID-19 - fever and dry cough. Recounting what followed, she said that they rushed to the hospital but the doctors urged them to leave as the chances were higher to contract the virus if they stayed at the hospital. So, the couple decided to go home and self isolate themselves and get treatment at home. The Drishyam actress said that they slept in different rooms and took proper medication. She further said that Andrei has now recovered. Meanwhile, Shriya said that in order to keep her mind stress free, she is keeping busy with yoga, meditation, cooking, reading and watching movies. She also said that everyday people step out on their balconies at 8 pm to clap and sing together for about 10 minutes.
