Right after that, we confirmed that John Abraham, who plays the negative lead in the film, has charged Rs. 20 crores to play the role, considering his ability to spearhead a film on his own shoulders now. We have now exclusively discovered that one of the most bankable female stars in todays time, Deepika Padukone, has also charged a bomb to come on board.She is easily the most bankable female actors alongside Alia Bhatt today, and everyone at Yash Raj Films as well as SRK, was keen to get Deepika on board this film, to make it one of the biggest casting coups in the year to come. Its a well sketched character for Deepika and she will start shooting from early next year. Its one of the most ambitious YRF films till date, and he doesnt want to compromise on SRKs comeback to the screen.The movie is tentatively gearing up for Diwali 2021 release, however, it all depends on how the Covid 19 pandemic unfolds in the months to follow. After Dhoom, Kabul Express and New York, John Abraham is set to return to the YRF camp with the much awaited Siddharth Anand film, Pathan, which pits him against Shah Rukh Khan. The film also features Deepika Padukone as the female lead and is touted to be the comeback venture of SRK after his last release, Zero, which arrived in 2018. Bollywood Hungama has now exclusively discovered the fees that John Abraham has charged for Pathan.John is presently in the best phase of his career with his solo films emerging box-office hits. He has proved his worth of carrying films on his shoulders and hence, he hiked his fees for the much awaited YRF film. John will be paid an upfront fees of Rs. 20 crores for this action packed entertainer and will be shooting for over 60 days for his track of negative lead in Pathan, a source told Bollywood Hungama adding further that it's a dynamic character for Abraham.The actor will be shooting for some high octane action scenes as well as dramatic scenes alongside Shah Rukh Khan. John is presently shooting for Satyameva Jayate 2, and on wrapping that up, will move on to Ek Villain 2. Finally, by the end of January, he will commence his work on Pathan. He is expected to fly abroad with the cast.The movie goes on the floors by end of November with Shah Rukh Khan filming his solo scenes in Mumbai. The official announcement is expected to be made when YRF announces its 50 year slate.

Reportedly, the actor will have a double role in the film.As per a daily, Shah Rukh Khan will essay the roles of father and son in Atlee's next. The two characters are generations apart as the father plays a senior RAW agent whereas the song will be a gangster. It's the first time since Duplicate in 1998, the actor will be seen in double role. The report further suggested that SRK will sport prosthetics for the role of father. The makers plan to roll the film by mid 2021 after he completes Pathan.Earlie, Atlee was working with Karan Johar's team of writers to develop the script. He has previously helmed Bigil, Mersel, Theri, and all were commercial potboilers with lead actors in either double or triple roles.

The actor reportedly will star as an investigating officer from a top Indian agency and most wanted criminal. The story revolves around these two characters, their confrontation, and conflicts.Atlee is currently working with Karan Johar's team of writers to develop the script. He has previously helmed Bigil, Mersel, Theri, and all were commercial potboilers with lead actors in either double or triple roles.Shah Rukh Khan will first begin shooting for Siddharth Anand's Pathan which is set in Mumbai with an overseas schedule. John Abraham is reportedly playing the antagonist. The shooting is expected to begin in the second half of 2021.Only after Pathan, Shah Rukh Khan will start work on Atlee and Rajkumar Hirani's next.
