Many Indians are stuck in various parts of the world amid the Coronavirus pandemic. Amongst many Indian students, actress Suchitra Krishnamoorthi's daughter Kaveri Kapur was stuck in the United States for six days. Kaveri has been studying at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. She was struggling to get a flight back to India. Now that she is back home, she will be self-quarantine for 14 days. Shekhar Kapur and Suchitra Krishnamoorthi got married in 1997 but took divorce in 2006. The couple bears a daughter, Kaveri, who is being questioned regarding the property dispute case that her mother filed against her father. Suchitra Krishnamoorthi has recently filed a property dispute case against Shekhar Kapur over a property that apparently belongs to Kaveri. The property is currently occupied by Kabir Bedi and Parveen on rent and she had to take the legal step when Kabir refused to move to vacate the property. Kaveri was questioned about the same and her name was used out of context is another story. However, unable to keep calm regarding this issue, she finally spoke up and said that she has always kept mum when it came to the issues between her parents. She has clarified that she has a strong and loving relationship with her father and was upset that her name was being used in such a manner. She further elaborated on how she is in no way associated with this case or any case between her parents. Now that Kaveri has made her stand clear, a comment from Shekhar and Suchitra is still awaited.

Singer-actress-homemaker Suchitra Krishnamoorthi didnt know what she was up against when she tweeted against early-morning prayers on loudspeakers. She was trolled savagely and mercilessly and is perhaps in the danger of being physically targeted. However she remained calm and adamant on the issue of a healthy debate on religious conventions. I think its a matter that should be discussed openly with a view to an amicable resolution. Whether azaan or bhajan, the use of loudspeakers should be restricted and legal time-limits followed. Suchitra also feels strongly on religion being used as a vote bank. Sensibilities of all religions should be taken into account and faith must not be imposed aggressively on another. Appeasement politics must end. About the danger posed by her outspokenness, Suchitra is not the least daunted. Im used to it.
