Coronavirus has infiltrated the Mumbai film industry. After singer Kanika Kapoor, actress Zoa Morani and actor Kiran Kumar, it is Reliance Entertainment’s CEO Shibashish Sarkar who is well on the way to beating the villainous virus. However, the frightening aspect of Shibasish’s viral attack is that he did not come in contact anyone since the lockdown.“I never left home during the past 90 days,” he informs me. In a whatsapp chat from the hospital Sarkar says, “I am getting better. The fever is still persisting. But the frequency has come down. The good part is, I am recovering and I soon be back home.”We wish Shibashish Sarkar a quick and complete recovery. Having lost one personality from the entertainment industry to the virus (Wajid Khan), we would like nothing better than to see everyone safe and healthy.

The deadly coronavirus has spread like wildfire around the world. India has been in lockdown since March-end in order to contain the spread of the virus. Meanwhile, several celebrities have reported having recovered from COVID-19 including singer Kanika Kapoor, actor Kiran Kumar, actress Zoa Morani, her sister among others.In the latest news, Wajid Khan of the music composer duo Sajid-Wajid has passed away due to COVID-19.  As per sources, the music composer had already pre-existing condition before he tested positive for COVID-19. The family is yet to confirm the news.Wajid Khan and Sajid Khan, music director duo, are the sons of Ustad Sharafat Ali Khan, a tabla player. They first worked together for Salman Khan's Pyar Kiya To Darna Kya in 1998. They worked as composers for Salman’s films like Hello BrotherTumko Na Bhool Paayenge (2002), Tere Naam (2003), Garv (2004), Mujhse Shaadi Karogi (2004), Partner (2007), Hello (2008), God Tussi Great Ho (2008), Wanted (2009), Main Aur Mrs Khanna, (2009), Veer (2010), Dabangg (2010), No Problem (2010) among others.

Actor Zoa Morani, who recovered from Covid-19 over a month back, recently donated her plasma for the second time, to medically aid the treatment of other patients. She took to Twitter to share a photo of herself lying on the hospital bed, and shared how her first round of plasma donation helped a patient come out of ICU."Plasma donation round 2 ! "Donated my blood today for the #plasmatherapy trials at #nairhospital .. it was fascinating !!! Always a silver lining i suppose ... the team there was so enthusiastic and careful. There was a general physician on standby just incase of emergency and the equipment brand new and safe !!! All #Covid19 recovered people can be a part of this trial , to help others covid patients recover," Zoa had written in her Instagram post.

Producer Karim Morani has tested negative for COVID-19 and was discharged from Nanavati hospital, Mumbai. He produced had no symptoms of Coronavirus but was kept in an isolation ward after both his daughters Zoa Morani and Shafa Morani were tested positive for the novel virus. Karim Morani said that he tested negative twice and was sent home. He praised the government officials and medical staff for taking good care of him while he was in the hospital. He will be now in quarantine for the next 14 days. He said that he is thankful for all the prayers and well wishes. Morani is known for having backed films such as Ra.One, Happy New Year and Dilwale, in association with Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment. Only recently, producer Karim Morani and his daughters Zoa and Shaza were tested positive for Coronavirus after they concluded their trips from Sri Lanka and Rajasthan. Karim Morani and Shaza Morani were admitted to Nanavati Hospital while Zoa was admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital. It looks like the dark days are over for the Morani sisters as they were discharged from the hospital yesterday. Taking to their social media, they were happy to announce that they are back home and have penned heartwarming notes for their close ones. Actress Zoa Morani had recently tested positive for coronavirus. In an interview with a daily, Zoa spoke about her experience. Two days after she tested positive, her father, producer Karim Morani also tested positive. Talking about her days in quarantine, Zoa said that in the past few years she has been quite a loner and was spending most of her time at home. However, with the lockdown in place, the actress has been feeling the urge to socialise. She said that the self -quarantine period made her the exact opposite of a loner as she began to talk to old friends and made new friends on social media. Zoa who is isolated in a hospital room says that the only thing that has changed is the venue. She describes her current life as a drama where things keep unfolding one after the other. The actress said her daily routine starts at 6 am when she wakes up and does pranayam. Apart from binging on movies and web shows, Zoa said that exercising is what is keeping her going on.

Last year, we had reported that Sanjay Leela Bhansali will turn producer for a film featuring Anmol Thakeria. He is the son of popular Bollywood actress Poonam Dhillon and this film, titled Tuesdays And Fridays , marks his debut. With Jhatalekha Malhotra being the leading lady, now there has been a new addition to the star cast. We hear that Zoa Morani has been brought on board for the film. While Tuesdays and Fridays will be the debut film for former beauty queen, Miss India International [2014] Jhatalekha Malhotra, it isnt the first film for Zoa Morani who made her debut with Bhaag Johnny.Directed by Taranveer Singh, we hear that the team has already kicked off their first schedule in London. If reports are to be believed, Zoa will be essaying the role of NRI who is based in England capital. These reports also suggest that the team started off shooting for the film in Queens city almost a month ago, with the schedule nearing its end. After that, they will return to continue the film in Mumbai. However, it is being said that Zoa is only a part of the London schedule and will not be shooting in the city. Reports also gave us an insight about the character names played by different actors which include Reem Sheikh as Tanya, Ibrahim Chaudhary as Shawan, Anmol Thakeria as Varun and Jhatalekha Malhotra as Sia. Tuesdays and Fridays will be an action romantic drama that went on floor last month. The team has shot in varied picturesque locations in London including at Pitch Stratford which is an open theatre. It seems that a song being used to introduce all actors which is choreographed by Kruti Mahesh. Tuesdays And Fridays is expected to be produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Bhushan Kumar. It is being said that Javed Jaffreys son Mizaan too will be debuting with the Bajirao Mastani filmmaker.

Vikram Bhatt, post the success of his film Raaz 3D , is currently working on his next Bhaag Johnny. Though some time back we had reported that Zoa Morani has been signed for the lead, we now hear that Vikram has roped in yet another actress.

Apparently, Bhatt has signed on Indo-Turkish girl Mandana Karimi who will play the parallel lead along with Kunal Khemu and Zoa Morani.

Bhaag Johnny is about a man who is forced to lead two lives and the chain of events that follow when he has to opt for one over the other, the film is co-produced by Bhushan Kumar and Vikram.
