Kajol makes her comeback to Tamil cinema after two decades with VIP 2

Even though the ever-electrifying actress Kajol is not been seen in many films of late, she was seen in Rohit Shetty s Dilwale last year. Just when everyone expected Kajol to make an announcement about her next Bollywood flick, she surprised everyone by announcing her next film as the Tamil film titled Velaiyilla Pattathari 2 (aka VIP 2). The said film is a sequel to southern film maker Velrajs mega successful Tamil film Velaiilla Pattadhari.VIP 2 , which stars Dhanush, will mark Kajols comeback in Kollywood after around two decades. Readers may recall that, Kajol had earlier done a south film titled Minsara Kanavu (which was made as Sapnay in Bollywood). Only recently, VIP 2 went on floors in Chennai. VIP 2 went on the floors on Thursday with the blessings of the superstar Rajinikanth , who launched the film with traditional mahurat clap and also wished the films team. Kajol took to social media and shared a photograph from the film. She captioned the photograph in which she was seen alongwith her co-star Dhanush and director Soundarya Rajinikanth as Finally 1st day photoshoot! #backtotamilafter20yrs#thenewteam. On the other hand, Soundarya Rajinikanth took to social media and posted a photograph of hers, Dhanush and Kajol with the caption #PhotoShoot with the one and only @KajolAtUN mam & our very own #Raghuvaran @dhanushkraja cant get better than this !!!! #Vip2. VIP 2 , which happens to be a bilingual movie, will be shot in Tamil and Telugu, and will be co-produced by V. Creations along with Wunderbar Films. Besides Kajol and Dhanush, VIP 2 will also star Amala Paul and Samuthirakani in pivotal roles.
