Known to put his heart and soul into every project, filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj recently accomplished his dream of making the Shakespeare trilogy in Hindi ( Maqbool Macbeth, Omkara Othello, Haider Hamlet). Now the filmmaker is gearing up for a period drama titled Rangoon , a love saga set at the backdrop of World War II. Amidst several preparations and research for the film, we now hear that the director flew down Norway-based choreographer Sudesh Adhana to train Kangna Ranaut for one of the songs titled Bloody Hell that released recently. Readers who have come across the trailer of the film will be aware that Kangna Ranaut plays a popular diva of the 40s whose role is inspired by the famous Fearless Nadia. Talking about the same, Vishal revealed, Sudesh is not just a choreographer but also a lecturer in modern dance. We collaborated on an opera in Paris, A Flowering Tree, which I directed and he choreographed. Then, we joined hands for Haider s Bismil which bagged him a National Award. He is an unusual personality. This song is from a film within the film and Kangna worked really hard to get the dance form right. From what we hear, Kangana prepped for the same since November and had perfected her dance moves when they shot the song in December. Sharing interesting trivia about the songs Vishal mentioned how Gulzar penned seven to eight options before they zeroed in on Bloody Hell.Normally we take 10-15 days for a song but we have taken over two months to lock each song for this film, added the director. Directed by Vishal Bhardwaj and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala , Vishal Bhardwaj and Viacom 18 motion pictures, Rangoon stars Saif Ali Khan , Kangana Ranaut and Shahid Kapoor. The film is slated to release on February 24.
