Film festival to pay tribute to late veteran actor Om Puri in Delhi

Earlier this month, Bollywood lost one of the most talented artists of all time- Om Puri. The sudden demise of the veteran actor shocked the entire nation. In the memory of the late actor, the Indian Panorama Film Festival, which was inaugurated in Delhi on Monday evening, has decided to pay a special homage by screening five of his iconic films. Some of the iconic works including Ardh Satya, Mirch Masala Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro, Sadgati and Dharavi will be screened every day at 6 p.m. from January 17-21 as part of the festival. This is being done to commemorate the journey of his life as an actor. Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore (Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting) inaugurated the festival and paid a tribute to the late Om Puri. The film festival, which commenced on Monday, will be concluding on January 27. During the festival, some of the popular films including Sairat, Sultan Natsamrat, Bajirao Mastani Airlift and Baahubali: The Beginning will also be screened.
