Radhika Apte wins Best Actress award for Madly at Tribeca Film Festival

Readers may recall around April last week last year, the whole of Bollywood and the media were shocked when they saw a video clip of the extremely talented Radhika Apte showing her off private parts. The clip was a scene from a movie that Radhika had shot for. The best part about the whole episode was that, neither the films director Anurag Kashyap nor Radhika Apte accepted that they had shot the nude scene for a movie but condemned the circulation of the video clip. The good news is that, Radhika Apte has just bagged the Best Actress Award in the International Narrative Feature Film category at the Tribeca Film Festival for her international project Madly , the very film from this video clip was taken. She won the award for the Clean Shaven segment, which was directed by Anurag Kashyap and also featured actors like Adarsh Gourav and Satyadeep Misra. Radhika Apte, for whom, the feeling was yet to sink in, said that she was extremely thankful to her director for giving her the opportunity. Readers may note that, Madly is basically a global anthology film that featured creative and innovative love stories from some of the worlds best directors.
