Khiladi 786 promos banned in Pakistan

5 Dec 2012

Post banning the release of films like Salman Khan's Ek Tha Tiger and Saif Ali Khan's Agent Vinod in Pakistan, the Pakistani Censor Board has now banned the promos of Akshay Kumar's upcoming film Khiladi 786 . The reason behind this being stated by the board is that the number 786 which is revered by Muslims has a high probability of hurting the religious sentiments of followers within the country.

Taking the ban a step further, the Censor Board of Pakistan has also ordered cinema halls not to release Khiladi 786's trailers and also told the distributors to remove the billboards of the film.

However, the board has suggested that the distributors release the film without using the number 786, though the movie can still be banned if it has any objectionable scenes or dialogues.

Khiladi 786 which stars Akshay Kumar and Asin hits screens on December 7.
