Bejoy to release David trailer online only

Bejoy Nambiar best remembered for his thriller film Shaitaan is busy working on his next film David. However, staying true to his nature of being the maverick that he is, Bejoy has conceptualized an innovative way of promoting the film.

In fact, keeping in mind his core audience comprising the youth on the internet, Bejoy has decided on releasing the trailers of his film over the web. So enamoured is the director with this concept that he doesn't want it to appear in theatre, which is basically the primary outlet for consumptions of first looks and promos of any film.

Source reveals, "Initially the trailer of David was to be released with Khiladi 786 that released last week or with Dabangg 2 , that's due to release on December 21. But Bejoy decided otherwise. He believes his core audience is the youth, which is more to the internet. The trailer can go viral that way." Source close to Bejoy say, " David is a novel, edgy film, so he wants it to be very innovative with the marketing. He will release the trailer of the film online and not in theatres." David which is a novel edgy film is a story of 3 different individuals named David. Set in 3 different time zones the film stars Neil Nitin Mukesh, Lara Dutta, Tabu and others and is set for release next year in Feb. The trailer releases on December 14 on the internet.
