Zaheer's trainning helps Siddhanth for Kirkit

17 Oct 2013

Shakti Kapoor's son Siddhanth, who made his debut in the John Abraham film Shootout At Wadala , is all set for his next film with Bejoy Nambiar. The film tentatively titled Kirkit is said to be a sports comedy that will see Siddhanth in the lead role of a cricketer.

Interestingly, to get into shape for the part Siddhanth trained with Indian pace bowler Zaheer Khan for his character.

"I practiced for about a year with Zaheer as he's a good friend of mine. We used to play for NCC club at Oval Maidan in Mumbai where he gave me several bowling tips. I am really excited about this film because it's a youth-centric movie. It's a remake of the Tamil hit Chennai 600028 which was about street cricket," says Siddhanth.

Directed by Yazad Anklesaria, the film will be co-produced by Bejoy and DAR Motion Pictures.
