UTV signs Sajid Khan to direct next

Sajid Khan's film Humshakals that received a mixed response from the audiences went on to do decent business at the box office. After the film's success, Sajid decided on taking some time off before commencing work on his next. Now we hear that Sajid Khan has been signed on by UTV to direct their next production venture.

Sajid Khan, who has been rather quiet after Humshakals , confirms the development saying, "Yes I have been signed on by UTV to direct their next venture." However, when further quizzed about the details of the film, he firmly says, "Right now I am still in the process of writing the film and locking script, how can I say anything at this point." On the other hand, looking at Sajid Khan's track record, slapstick comedy has been his trademark genre. With his last release Humshakals, that featured an ensemble cast of Saif Ali Khan, Riteish Deshmukh, Esha Gupta, Bipasha Basu and Tamannaah Bhatia in lead roles, we wonder whether his next will also be comedy.
