Premiere of Deepika Padukone's Finding Fanny postponed

22 Aug 2014

A while back we had reported that Bollywood's reigning queen Deepika Padukone's next Finding Fanny would have an advance premiere 17 days before the film's release. Now we hear that the said premiere that was scheduled to be held on August 25 has since been postponed to September.

The reason behind the postponement of the premiere is the apparent pending status of the film's censor certificate. In lieu of the current problems the censor board has been embroiled in, the makers of the film who are yet to receive a censor certificate for Finding Fanny have decided to avoid any unforeseen obstacles in the film's screening.

Finding Fanny that is produced by Fox Star Studios and Maddock Films and directed by Homi Adajania has been in the news ever since the film's trailer received good response from the audience. Featuring Arjun Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Naseeruddin Shah, Pankaj Kapoor and Dimple Kapadia, Finding Fanny is an off the wall, comical story about five oddballs who venture out to find Stefanie Fernandes (Fanny); in the process, they discover a strange sense of solace and love amongst each other, and end up seeing a point to their previously pointless lives.

Finding Fanny is all set to release in theatres on September 12.
