"Sonam is recovering well" - Anil Kapoor

4 Mar 2015

Sonam Kapoor's second hospitalization in a month has made Anil Kapoor a very worried father.

The first time when she had to be hospitalized on Feb 8, it was due to a respiratory problem aggravated by the heat and dust on the sets of Sooraj Barjatya's Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. Again she fell ill on the sets of the same film, this time with a far more serious infection.

Says one of her co-actors, "We were in Rajkot when Sonam started showing symptoms of Swine Flu. We were all joking about it when she was sniffling and coughing. We were sure it was just an ordinary flu. But then the tests proved our worst fears right. But she was okay. Very much in control and not at all fussy. In fact Soorajji (director Sooraj Barjatya) was far more worried than she was. Even when an air ambulance flew her back to Mumbai from Rajkot, Sonam Kapoor was calm and controlled." Back home, Sonam's parents and sister have been keeping a constant vigil on her health at the Kokilaben hospital.

When contacted Anil Kapoor said, "She's better now. But she'll be under observations for a few days." Sonam Kapoor is expected to be out of hospital by the end of this week. It would be a subdued Holi for the Kapoors this year.
