Anil Kapoor, Anees Bazmee owed money by Firoz Nadiadwala, threaten to stall release of Welcome Back

The frantic behind-the-scenes happenings could well be the plot for the next Anees Bazmee comedy.

Welcome Back would have apparently been in a serious financial crisis stalling the release on September 4, if those monetarily affected did not decide to be magnanimous.

Apparently, the producer Firoz Nadiadwala owes his director Anees Bazmee and leading man Anil Kapoor substantial amounts of remuneration for their work on Welcome Back .The two of them had decided to seek the permission of the film federations to stall the film's release until their dues were cleared.

Says an informed source, "Firoz owes Anees Rs. 4 crores and Anil Kapoor Rs. 4-5 crores. Both demanded their dues be cleared before the film's release. However better sense prevailed with time. Anees and Anil decided to not obstruct the film's release for their dues. And now the film would be released on time."

Apparently, Anees and Anil have not been paid their dues yet. But have been assured that the needful would be done.
