Rahul Bose's next directorial venture based on youngest girl to scale Everest

23 May 2016

Rahul Bose, who last featured in the film Dil Dhadkne Do, has been missing from the Bollywood circuit, but now we hear that the actor is all set to return to films with his second directorial venture. In fact, Bose will be bringing the story of Malavath Poorna, the youngest girl to scale the fearsome Mount Everest, in his first home production.

The film will apparently follow the story of Poorna, a poor adivasi girl from Telengana who created history on May 25, 2014, by becoming the youngest girl in the world to scale the Mount Everest. She was just 13 when she pitched the Indian flag at 6 am, followed by Sadanapalli Anand, another 17-year-old tribal student from the remote Khammam district, a couple of hours later. Both were students of the Andhra Pradesh Social Welfare Residential Schools, mentored by its secretary Dr RS Praveen Kumar whose character will be played by Rahul.

Further talking about the film, Rahul stated that shooting for film has already been completed and the same will be screened for a studio in the coming weeks.
