Amaal Mallik replaces Sachin-Jigar in Hansal Mehta's Simran

25 Jul 2016

Readers may recall that, we had reported about the stunning actress Kangna Ranaut playing the lead in the film Simran, a film that has been inspired by a series of real life incidents including the life of Sandeep Kaur, a nurse who turned into a bank robber. While the film's lead heroine is Kangna Ranaut, the film would be shot in varied cities across the US.

The latest update on Simran is that, Amaal Mallik has now replaced the duo Sachin-Jigar as the music director of the film. Reports state that, the film's director Hansal Mehta had given Sachin-Jigar as many as 3 months to work on the tracks, but the duo failed to meet the deadline due to prior commitments and hence, could (reportedly) compose only one song for the film. That's when Hansal Mehta signed up Amaal Mallik as the music director of Simran . Simran is being jointly produced by Bhushan Kumar and Shailesh Singh.
